Also most of the LTL he listed have spots where you do some dock and then a finish the day with short line run. 200-300 miles a day. Till you get past probation and or gain experience. Con-Way used to hire right out of school also.

NEMF would be a good starting point IMHO,but just stay cool and keep telling your self its only temporary.

Thanks for the advice, I called Estes, they are not taking students for Line haul, but they accept for local/delivery. Starting pay is $21 @ 50 hours per week, not bad work i'd say. (NEMF was 18.5 an hour for their day guys) Unfortunately they are not hiring where I want to move to......BUT I won't be moving there for a few months so something could happen between now and then.

Depending on which LTL carrier, your working for
When you get to your turn around point, you might punch on the clock & work the dock or switch for a few hrs, then punch out and head back to home terminal......good for you brother LTL is the way to go especially if you have family and want a normal life, you can always work your way into a day shift doing p&d..... All LTL jobs start around $20 hrly some pay OT after 8 and all have full benefit packages, it's a faster paste job but designed for family man truckers.... Congrats 😎🏁🏁wd40

I called OD too. Lady was real nice. She was begging me to send her my resume. "we love ex-military". She did not have any info on pay or anything.

I've done enough time away from home to where I don't want to be out 3 weeks and home for 5 days. One of the main reasons I was really looking to TMC. Home weekends, plus it seems they have a good rep as a company and flatbed interests me.

But If I could make the same or slightly less as LTL I would rather do that.
