No no. You go blind! ...maybe that's why I wear glasses... Wrong muscles anyways. All I'll say is I took gold in the bladder holders competition. :biggrin_2558:

No, some of us just aren't quite so kinky... :biggrin_25525:

On a very serious note, please do not "hold it in". This can create long term problems down the road (no pun intended). A person can develop a UTI or urinary tract infection. Some of us guys have a heredity issue involving the prostrate gland, which may require meds or surgical procedures. This is a serious situation, when you get tears in your eyes.

And not a fun procedure to endure. But it does allow one to "write his name in the snow" when he is all better.

My doctor told me, "try to go every 2-3 hours" as our urine contains a strong acid. Also by "not going" frequently, you do not allow your kidneys to be flushed out, of some of the minerals that can cause kidney stones. I have had a few stones over the years, and "passed them", never knowing or feeling anything, but I can assure you, they can make YOU PASS OUT from the pain, if they are big enough.

So please my friend, do not "hold it in", to try to prove something, cuz someday, you'll regret doing so.

And hairy palms or blindness, playing the one armed party animal, can make one "special" in his private circle of friends! :biggrin_25522:

NOAA weather radio broadcasts wind speeds, gusts and direction for selected spots on I 80 and I 25 twice an hour on weatherband stations. If your are running light especailly in a van you might want to pay attention. I used to have to run empty between N Utah and Denver and slowing down over Elk Mtn svaed my bacon more times than I like to think about. There's a message board sign past Rawlins Eb the said "light trailers not advised." so what do you do? Shutdown and wait for the wind to stop? In Wyoming? Right. Slow down, be careful and go.

I myself take those wind speed signs as a suggestion because I have never had trouble maintaining my lane. Now if im fishtailing all over the place then yes its time to stop.Wyoming will always post those signs. The day theres no wind in that state is when to worry. On windy days its best to keep both hands on the steering wheel.Theres been times I pulled over just to give my shoulders a rest from fighting the wind.

A few years ago I was getting ready to take a load of milk from Cedar Rapids Ia to SD on the night shift. A severe thunder storm warning was issued for central and western IAN, moving eastward across the state. I looked at radar and knew I would have a headwind going west on hiway 20, which I was not worried about. I figured by the time I got to I80, the storm would be past when I headed north. After I turned north on I80 and had gone about 10 miles, I just about needed to change my shorts when I flew by a tractor trailer (van) laying on its side on the shoulder...it was pitch black as no one else was on the road and it was barely off the traveled portion of the road. He must have been going real slow in the right lane when he tipped over. He parked on its side in a perfect parallel park!! No lights on...I didn't see anyone around...did I mention...no lights on!

I perked up right away and was watchful toward the front edge of the light pattern from the truck lights.

Sure enough I came across another van trailer on its side. It was way off into the ditch with a light on inside the trailer. That trailer was empty, I think the light was in the front end of the trailer. No one around that I saw.

Obviouly the storm was severe and fortunately it had passed through before I got there. If there had been strong winds when I got to I80, I would have pulled over on hiway 20 facing the wind until I thought it was safe to travel.

Not necessarily scared of the wind, more of not wanting to tip the truck my first week driving against the wind.
