Dexter, MI at a Pilot.
I picked up my load in Monroe and did the loaded call. The system kicked back a message that it was the wrong trailer.
I called the number for the Ford rep and was told that a different trailer was supposed to have been used.
She called the shipper, then I went in to talk to the guy. Sure enough, some trailers got mixed up.
So now there are another 3 or 4 trailers that will cause problems when picked up.
It wasted nearly an hour to get it all straightened out.
Didn't really hurt my time on the load though. I had gotten to the shipper nearly 3 hours early.
Just as I got out of my truck the lady came out and put all the BOL's in the mailbox where we pick them up.
Sometimes I have great timing. My paperwork was right on the top of about 8 others.
Hopefully, with my early arrival, they will get the trailer numbers straightened out for the others.
Good Night From II

Jackson, TN at Love's. Had a live unload in NM just outside El Paso, snagged a nice 2300 mile run to Norwich, CT. Got 3450 miles last week, but going to have to do a restart once I deliver. Have family outside Boston that are going to come get me and let me relax at their house while I do restart.
OK I need some experienced advise here, dropped my nice 2 month old mt to get this load. This one is one of the beat up 536*** trailers. It dog tracks to passenger side REALLY bad. Pin holes are oblong. Moved tandems and tried to get it in spot but found rails bent enough it won't pull straight. What would you guys do, if anything? -
All you can really do is try to keep it between the lines.
With luck you won't have it very long. -
OK thank you, it's tracking almost 6 inches off. On the open road it is OK. Construction zones where lanes are narrow and Jersey barrier is on the white line is quite the challenge however.... Lol
-
Try this:
Next chance you get in a parking lot where you can do a hard forward jackknife to the right (blind side) do a full 360º turn. Get back on the open road and see if that helps. With oblong pin holes often it will dogleg to the right because most folks are jackknifing to the driver's side, canting the trailer tandems slightly toward the right. If you reverse that with a hard blind side jackknife it might either straighten it out or you might end up with a slight dogleg to the driver's side.
It might do nothing if the tandems are frozen or rusted.
Worth a shot.Moosetek13, OceanDan and DocWatson Thank this. -
First , go across the street for barbecue if they're open . Its awesome good .
You can try realigning the trailer although it might not work with worn out pin holes . Find a tall curb stop the trailer bumper will fit over and back up to it with the side of the trailer the dogleg goes toward making contact first . Do several reverse bumps with about as much force as a tug test . I've straightened several that way but if you are heavy and braking going through potholes it will pull the tandems out of alignment again .
That trailer needs to be put OOS asap . Send a Mac38 when you drop it and describe it as worse than it actually is .Moosetek13 and Broccelli Thank this. -
I guess Doc's a really nice guy . I would've told him to get the #### away from me before I set him on fire .

Parked bobtail outside the Target DC in Pueblo, taking an extended 10 (more like a 15) waiting for my next load late tomorrow morning. This one heads up to Billings.
Today was a good day. Roads mostly bare and dry, except passing through Denver with wet roads throwing up a dirty mist. My windshield wiper fluid must be frozen in those dang rubber lines, they won't work at all. That means I need to stop and clean the windshield every 100 miles or so.
Started the day in Sidney, NE at the Walmart. Parked it there last night and there had to be two dozen trucks lined up in the parking lot. Just like a truck stop, but everyone seemed to be "good citizens" and it was real clean.
I Mac-30'ed to get this next load headed to Billings, and after looking at the route and available truck stops, decided I better get a shower and do laundry on the way to Pueblo. I stopped at the TA East in Commerce, near the Denver terminal, and got that all done and reopted to top off the tanks and put in some Howe's.
Being from Seattle I'm serious about my coffee. Finally broke down and got a French press. Makes a #### fine mug of coffee, but clean up is a bit of a mess. I KNOW that when using it I need a course grind, but ran out of coffee yesterday so I bought some Seattle's Best Coffee at Walmart (SBC is hands down a better roast than Starbucks). I knew that wasn't a great idea because the grind was too fine, so I picked up some filters for drip coffee and wrap one around the press plunger and....
.... Voila! My coffee today kicked butt! Really looking forward to being amped for the drive up through Wyoming tomorrow. -
Instead of wrapping it around you can scissor it to size and place it in between the screen and frame.
Works a lot better that way.
That is also the better way to make coffee in a press.
The finer grind makes for a stronger and more flavorful brew.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
TA just east of Greer. Will drop this in Shelby tomorrow morning then HOME for my three days. Easy drive today from Memphis. Stopped at exit 259 I 40 Wilco Hess and found an excellent Mexican restaurant, El Corral I believe.
Two wrecks on the west bound side just east of where I 81 branches off I 40 had both lanes parking lot for about seven miles. Quite a few milling around outside vehicles so must have been shut down for some time prior to me seeing same. Glad I wasn't westbound.
This TA was out of the path to delivery but I needed a shower and nothing on I 26 worked. Hate backtracking but if I didn't shower the dog would probably be the only greeter when I got home. Wife, both daughters and even the female cat would run while directing me to the sanitizing chamber.
Couple of questions friends. First, anyone ever bought the truckers gps software "Co pilot" and used it on a tablet? Second, other than buying a new one and installing, anyone know how to make the factory gear shift knob on this Cascadia CEASE rattling? [emoji35]
