yes driver, they can pretty much put anything they want on your DAC. So long as its the truth. If you sneeze wrong while employed with them. They can put it on your DAC. Yes, its a shame they can ruin a drivers career like this. I don't know any other professional field that does this.

Unfortunately I have to go with the Answer YES as well.

From what I can see as a newbie driver - there do not appear to be any objective standards for DAC entries. There is nothing at all to provide a check/balance process. (No, an after-the-fact correction process doesn't count)
I think, from what I'm seeing, that this is why more and more companies are moving away from the DAC and going back to one-on-one queries. Sure, the DAC is easier - one stop shopping, after all - but it hardly matters if you get all your groceries in one store if half the items are mislabled. -
just curious...when you said "pulling into my yard".....are you referring to the company terminal or drop yard??
If YES, shouldn't they be responsible for keeping those limbs trimmed? -
Companies can and will do anything when it comes to damages to equipment. My ex-husband was in a BAD wreck, he was in the middle of an 11 vehicle accident. He received over 50 stitches to his head and face. After the healing, he was suffering from horrible, debilitating headaches daily. He kept going to the doctors the company sent him to, for months with no relief and no diagnosis. Finally, after about 4 months or so, they sent him to a specialist, who ran tests. Turns out he had a SEVERE sinus infection. (Never before had sinus problems.) He had been with this company for about 7 years, and was the "go to" guy. He could get anywhere in time. The insurance company gave his company so much hell about paying for the totalled tractor & trailer (it was a reefer) that the company wouldn't put him back on the road.
All I can say is ALWAYS be honest with your company, fess up, get the branches out of the way. And hopefully you've learned your lesson about your space requirements.
Good Luck to you. -
it was a empty lot, thah my cousin owns.i park the trailer there, when i'm home.i caught the branch, with the edge of the trailer.i was thinking the small branches would'nt hurt anything and caught a big one, that tore a hole into the trailer.definetly learned a lesson.any mistake,i make,i learn from.thanks guys!

Hit the girder on a low bridge once.I knew the bridge was low but it was also angled.I thought if I could stay on the high side,I might be able to get the trailer through.I made it past three girders and hit number four.I looked through the back window, day cab,but missed number four.Damage was light but still my company assessed a point system and I was charged under company rules for a preventable accident. At the time I had 5 years safe driving so me and girder number four screwed that up.I left the company after 12 years.Nothing showed up on my DAC report. You could be fired for too much damage to company equipment but unless it was an accident that you were ticketed by authorities for,it never was put on your DAC.So,yes, it was a good company to work for. They never put anything on a DAC report unless it was well deserved. The petty stuff was just kept internal with the company and safety departments.
