My '13 Volvo has nearly that many miles but it has been the most reliable truck I've had.
I'm just about due for a b-service, and it has a couple issues.
A check engine fault that is mostly on all the time now, though performance hasn't suffered.
And I think I have a bad battery. I have to idle way too much just to keep an inside light on and power my computer.
I've had a few sensors go out over the years, but so far nothing serious.
I got lucky with this truck.

A lot of you may already know this, if so I apologize. If you smell the odor of rotten eggs or hydrogen sulfide around your battery box, you probably have a battery going bad.
Rattlebunny and Lepton1 Thank this. -
did he have glasses with brown hair? I had a guy in Lancaster ask me to pop a pimple on his back and he asked others too.
-
Maybe someone should tell him to start washing his back more often...?
Cjh_army Thanks this. -
Swift "buys" very few if any tractors ... they are leased.
-
Yep! Swift leases thus no APU's the ROI (return on investment ) doesn't work.

Salina, UT at the little hole in the wall truck stop. I've never stopped here before, but stopped at about 1:00 pm so I had a wide open parking lot to choose my spot.
From Billings, MT yesterday I got a load to deadhead to Worland, WY and get a load of cans to t-call in SLC. I dread the SLC terminal because of the long lines to get in for inspection, but was amazed to have NO lines and got right in and through inspection within 10 minutes!
After t-calling I deadheaded for a live load in Nephi, UT that turned into a drop and hook (yippee!), and with 4:30 left on my clock headed south on UT-28 to Salina and debated whether to go for Green River or not. With sleet and snow falling I'm not sure I wanted to run that without plenty of hours. At midnight I get back 1:30, so I'll have plenty to make GR and be in place to get a midnight start Wednesday to make it to Albuquerque for a live unload no later than 8:30 am.
Last night I stopped with 40 minutes left on my 14 in Little America, WY. It was my first time buying a shower at this LA location (I've showered before in their NM location) and I was IMPRESSED. Minute I opened the door it smelled and looked CLEAN with marble everything and it was WARM as I walked inside. Their washers are all front load, so I did a load of laundry as I had a whole broiled chicken (Jewish penicillin to knock the start of a cold). -
I need a load like that - t-calling in SLC. Or Denver.
When I complete this load I'll be due for a b-service, and I need a few other issues taken care of.
The pplan I got today was to pick up in Worland tomorrow afternoon (3/3) and deliver in Commerce, CA at 0400 on the 5th.
It was removed before I could respond to it. I guess they realized I'm not a team.
So I'm at the J in Casper, WY with an 0800 delivery in the morning.
However, there is a storm warning and we may get up to 8 inches of snow by morning.
I have a feeling it might be a bit late.
Then I'm headed to Sheridan for the final.
3 Ford dealerships, which are not exactly set up for big trucks. -
Yep ... that used to be a small independent manufacture and was always D/H ... then the big national corp bought 'em and changed their process to live load - which is weird because that corp is D/H at every location I've ever gone to. Long story short, the folks in Nephi more less have gone off corporate's reservation and have continued to do things the way that makes sense for them.
Sitting in the ATL ... unload tomorrow and head to Cajun country. -
"the folks in Nephi more less have gone off corporate's reservation and have continued to do things the way that makes sense for them."
That's the way I work as well.
It's snowing pretty good here now. Looks like about 3" in the past 2 hours.
