The yellow dipstick could be condensation build up,might want to check blow by tube, make sure it's not stopped up. Or when when you will have truck shut off for awhile, take oil fill plug out, cover with a sock or rag. If it's antifreeze you should smell it that way.

The bad fuel mileage I'm going to Freightliner dealer monday morning, I have a code 39(EGR/VNT Issue) so i know its something emissions related .Im going to dealer because i replaced both Turbo and EGR valve under a year ago and they should still be under warranty.
The condensation .I checked my oil at the end of the day and it wasn't there anymore ..not even a hint of it . -
when you ran the truck for few days without checking to oil and check the oil do you notice the dipstick to be slightly raised out of the tube? i have a 2007 Detroit, and have notice the milky substance but i also notice my dipstick was not all the way down in the tube, i think the tube might be worn out, or the o ring around the dipstick might be worn out. a quick fix i to push the dip stick in and twist it 1 time and that will keep it for blowing up out of the tube. when i worked at ryder that would happen all the time, either a new tube, orings, or dipstick should fix the problem.

Go to a Detroit eng. shop near you and I think you will get better service out of shop that only works on det. motors all day ever day.

Yea that would be my first choice but, those 2 items i replaced last year while under the select trucks warranty, so I'm thinking i have 1 year warranty on those items that have been replaced .
and my year warranty will be up in 6days so i better get down there... -
Just hope that it won't take them 6 days before they even take a look at your truck nikmirbre lol

I got here 7 am this morning...they will be done this afternoon....... the codes I was pulling up were inactive codes from when I had the EGR and turbo replaced last year........
It was my CAC and a hose...
