They're okay- better rep than Ruan here lately. The pay scale is kinda low-.32/mile, but you'll generally get the miles. Be prepared to gone for 2-4 weeks at a time. No Hazmat, just food grade. Small company feel--only 200 or so trucks/drivers. Ask to speak to Walt in recruiting. I lucked into a local run of water where I'm home everyday, so it also has alot to do with where you live at. Good luck!

I appreciate the feedback on Bynum transport. I have decided that I am going to go with Carroll Fulmer, I've heard good things about them such as you can tell them pretty much where you want to run and they try to work you into that, but I'm not naive after 24 years they also said about 75% is drop/hook, but at least there home terminal is close to the house so if they piss me off I don't have to worry about being stranded at one of there other terminals. Does anyone know anything bad about them before my orientation Monday at 9:00 A.M. ?

    Bynum or Indian River??
I have the option of either one and not sure which one to go to. I've only been driving for 2 years and briefly pulled a tanker with Oakley for 2 months. Which one will not send me to the northeast alot? Which one is better as to how they would treat a female driver??

I live in NY pulling tankers in the NE for a small food grade company. I see Oakley, Bynum, and IRT on a regular basis throughout the places I deliver to in Mass, NY, PA, and NJ. So I guess you're gonna have deal with it any which way you slice it. Being from FL, you may see it less though.

There are several lady drivers at Bynum who have been there for years.

I only went to northeast 3 times in 6 months. Once was in upstate NY last fall. I loved the scenic ride.

Prime Inc will keep you north east if you want to be. Starting pay is now .48/mile they will treat a lady good. It's 50/50 to unloading your own product but the trucks are all equipped to do so with ease. You will running Central us as well sometimes sometimes down to GA. But the majority of what prime has in tanker is north east.
