I guess it all depends on where you live and what is important to you on which company you start with. Oh, and other factors as well.
-
That's what I wanted to hear. Thank you!

Got my start there in 1998.done the whole school 1 year contract gig.done my year turned in the keys and went to finer pastures.nothing bad to say about them, they just don't pay much.

I Finished C1 in Ft. Wayne last week and I'm scheduled to start Orientation in a few days. I live in Cleveland, Oh; and so does my team driver candidate. Will they shoot me directly to my trainer after orientation or will I have a short break? There are two PAM terminals in OH.

Ask them when r u gonna get a trainer. Every person is different. The closest terminal to you is Youngstown and if they still work like they did when I was there, that's the best terminal to get dispatched from.
Pegasus50 Thanks this. -
Well finally completed OTR Orientation with a veteran trainer; not the best experience, but certainly not the worse. I upgraded to 1st seat at our company HQ in Tontitown, AR and that went well... though I barely got through the the logging test. We were issued a 2011 Cascadia and a Dedicated Auto Lane right out of the gate. Less money but more predictable home-time. Now it's time to get to work on that pile of bills thats been stacking up on my desk for the last few months. Wish me luck and thanks for all of your encouragement.

PAM requires you to roll team for the first 6 months don't they? Was about to sign up to start with them until I saw that. No thanks. I can't live in a truck with a stranger for 6 months.
