If your running a 4500-5500 then go with a 40', you have plenty of truck so you should leave as many options open as possible.RamTruckerOhio Thanks this.
-
I talked to several brokers who said that given my cargo capacity (20-21K) the 35' would be useful to them in getting loads shipped. The longer the trailer the less payload it has.
-
Good info. I've heard similar info from others. Thanks
-
What kind of truck you plan on using to haul 20-21k in freight weight?
-
I don't "plan " to haul that heavy, its just what i'm legal for. I have a Dodge 3500 diesel w/6speed manual.
-
Ok, I see what you're saying now.
We run a lot of 3500 Dodge Duallies here, our trailers have 40' of deck space and weigh 7550 lbs from the factory. With our set up we limit the amount of freight weight we will put on to 15,000 lbs max.RamTruckerOhio Thanks this. -

FIRSTDEVILLE said: ↑So obviously you started your hotshot prior to obtaining your CDL? If so, how were you able to log your 14 days driving under CDL supervision? Also, I am not familiar with CHR yet, it sounds like they've been good to your business.RamTruckerOhio said: ↑yes I'm tring to sign on CHR & Landstar loading boards.
