Mike, can I ask why you went with the 35'? I like the PJ Trailers. I was thinking 34'-36' myself.

If your running a 4500-5500 then go with a 40', you have plenty of truck so you should leave as many options open as possible.

I talked to several brokers who said that given my cargo capacity (20-21K) the 35' would be useful to them in getting loads shipped. The longer the trailer the less payload it has.

What kind of truck you plan on using to haul 20-21k in freight weight?

I don't "plan " to haul that heavy, its just what i'm legal for. I have a Dodge 3500 diesel w/6speed manual.

Ok, I see what you're saying now.

We run a lot of 3500 Dodge Duallies here, our trailers have 40' of deck space and weigh 7550 lbs from the factory. With our set up we limit the amount of freight weight we will put on to 15,000 lbs max.
