Looking forward to the new thread and updates Gunner. I read your TMC experience and liked hearing about your experience. Im looking to do Flatbed when I get my CDL ( in the process now of getting Post 911 GI Bill set up) I have almost 20 years completed as a reservist..2 deployments and a job in LE that I cant take anymore. Always wanted to be a driver and at 46 Im taking that chance.
bigred81 Thanks this. -
I'm probably not going to make an experience thread, however if someone asks a question,I will do everything in my power to answer

Good luck and be safe Gunner!

Thanks ball, this week showed what kind of income im looking at with pgt on this account im on. I drove 1807 miles last week and grossed $963. Not a whole of miles no, but im still new to the account and the terminal manager is easing me into the higher mileage runs. Of the 25 to 30 drivers we have about 20 of them average 3000 miles a week. The remaining drivers are the under preformers thay don't like to follow the rules,so they are docked miles. once i get my passport I'll be allowed to run the Canadian runs which give a bump in mileage pay of 20cpm all dispatched miles. I'm at .395 cpm because im still new to the industry so i start at the basic pay level.
I'm looking forward to my increased miles and seeing what i can make -
Interesting info, thanks for sharing. I thought PGT paid percentage, is account work different?
-
They do percentage or mileage. Is dependant on if you are line haul or on an account like mine. The account im on is for one costumer only delivering to steel mills for them. Trucks revenue is significantly higher than a line haul driver.
ceewill Thanks this. -
Thanks for your post, Gunner!
I am a recent graduate and narrowed it down to TMC & PGT for Flatbed or go to Crete for Dry Van. I don't mid either but want to be home no less than every 14 days. I see you and another guy from these threads leave TMC, so I am kind of weary of TMC.
I am in Central TX and was told I could be based out of Wilmer. PGT pays less of a % (25%) for new drivers but I was afraid it would get chippy... -
Don't be weary of tmc, they are a great starter company with decent equipment. Is probably still be with them, but pgt offers other options that tmc just doesn't.
Pgts percentage is less yes, but the revenue their tricks generate is higher because their freight rays ate higher than tmc.
