Dude! Keep us updated, 'cause I would totally read that book. I love urban fantasy, but it tends to have a more Gaelic/Goth bent rather than Christian. This could be interesting!
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Zoomie,
I think you should consider going back to selling cars, you'd make a heckuva salesperson. The guy that I purchased my new F150 from last week said it's a pretty lucrative gig. He's been there for 15 years and I bought my '08 from him also.
Of course, truckin' gets in your blood...doesn't it? -
You ain't kidding.
The car game is feast and famine when you first start out (more famine than feast if you're not in a good area). I'd have to start from scratch since I've been out for so long. It's on the back burner if I end up disqualified for some reason.mnmover Thanks this. -
Still, very solid, reliable, and affordable transportation appliances. We're both entbusiasts though so if we seek out a Taurus it'd have to be the Super High Output (SHO). Early version with the Yamaha V6 and 5 speed manual, please. In green.
Still not a sports car though. -
Saw a Fiero with the PISA Corp rear suspension upgrade (no more snap oversteer) and a supercharged 3800 V6 engine swap for $3500. Downsides: 1) That engine swap necessitates the matching automatic tranny; 2) The car is in Arizona; 3) I don't have 3500.

torque converter automatics just aren't as much fun on the track though...

I'm hip. But nobody makes an adaptor plate to marry a Getrag up to the 3800; you have to fabricate one and I'm not that much of a hot rodder. Anyway, the 2.8 would be enough for me in that application if I were to ever buy one.
Have seen one with a Northstar mated to a ZF 6-speed. And another with the Aurora V8 and the Getrag 5-speed. Fieros have become the modern hot rod slate (one of them, anyway).double yellow Thanks this. -
Got my settlement preview. Stared at it in confusion when I saw a positive number in the Net Pay column. Called payroll to inform them they had overpaid me since I was broke down most of the week and had turned in less than 800 miles. They said the company had decided to give me a break on the truck payment since I had gotten shafted by some bad actors at Penske.
File this one under "nice surprise."Panhandle flash, double yellow and lmcclure1220 Thank this. -
Or the Pleasant Occurrences folder? :smt047
Captain Zoom and Panhandle flash Thank this. -
Had a preplan and had my trip mapped out and it got yanked at the last second. My dispatcher is a bit of a douche; he's the fly in the ointment here. I asked for directions to the ppn because the dispatch message had no info except city and state. He tells me to send a canned msg for directions which I can't do since I have no idea what facility I'm going to. And if he had time to tell me to send a canned msg he had time to shoot me his canned msg with directions. Next thing I know ppn is pulled. I sent him a msg telling him ppn was pulled as he may not know, and that I need to run as I have had very few miles for the last two weeks. Waiting for his response.
