Oh yeah, they wouldn't deadhead me 500 miles for an empty. I have the actual BOL now. It was put in the nose box with terminal printed instructions on sending mac 1 & 2. So, I had to ask myself if he was instructed to do this from the terminal. I verified with the customer in town here about my scheduled time tomorrow and they verified it. We are all good to go!

At home!!!! Hey friends head out tomorrow. Gotta load picking up about ten minutes from home. Going to tcall in Memphis. Got my cb installed today and also put in my sirius radio. I'm almost a legit "trucker".

Perhaps you should upgrade your trucker status from 'WannaBe'?
Cjh_army Thanks this. -
In Moses Lake, WA....again, dealing with yet another family issue. At lease my wife is with me and I'm not dealing with either Swift or ice covered roads.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I noticed it has been a rough start for many people this year. I felt it myself financially, but the rough part was losing three people in under four months, and still trying to keep my head up to smile. Hang in there!HeWhoMustNotBeNamed, OceanDan and SteveH85396 Thank this.

At home in Pittsburgh for my 34.
I was concerned when heading out of Chambersburg, PA for home that it was 30 degrees and light rain. The roads were just wet, but I was not looking forward to encountering an ice patch while running bobtail. Temps bounced between 30-34, until I hit the Allegheny Tunnel on the PA Turnpike.
Coming out of the tunnel, my dash thermometer said 38. I figured that was the tunnel temp, but it hit 39... then 40. Then headed back down, settling around 35. Looked down 20-30 minutes later and it's at 45. Pulled into the next rest area under the fuel canopy and put on my IFTA stickers that have been riding on my dash for the last few weeks.
Highest I saw on the pike was 51 degrees, dropping back into the mid 40s by the time I got home.OceanDan Thanks this. -

Live loading at Roberts in North East, PA then headed for FLORIDA!!! Too bad I can't stay for a while 82 there today. Lol.
Had a live unload at Coke in Rochester. Wow!! What a nightmare. It's not the customer, it's the construction and the lack of snow removal/parking control. I'll tell ya, this KW can push some snow when need be. Thanks to a box truck drivers lunch break I nearly got stuck, but this automatic behemoth took care of business. Over an hour to get in from the west, and almost as long to escape. Careful if your headed there, it's a preventable mine field.
Now at the TA in Harborcreek, PA. Likely staying the night here. Waiting for a company advance to scale. Got a $0 paycheck once again or I wouldn't do it. Thanks to Obama Care I can't drop any insurance to a level I can ACTUALLY afford. Long story. Suffice to say I'm just waiting until my insurance gets canceled because I can't pay the bill they sent me. Good times. Really, good times. -
Sitting at Love's in blacksburg SC waiting for my wife and 17 month old daughter to come visit for a few hours. On home time Friday but this is close enough to my house. Still have this messed up trailer. To get rid of it I would of had to give up a 1400 mile load that got me home in time. Only sad thing is it is 1000 loaded mikes and will have spent 3.5days getting there due to a couple days of little time coming back on my 70 but they have me a delivery date I could do and I beat the weather coming out of the north east so I guess I can't complain. Plus it is 72 degrees here lol. I will say this, they have been giving me all the miles I can handle and getting a decent check finally.

Finally getting out of the home. Everything is finally done for now except a DOT needed this weekend. Was sent a pplan this morning that royally, well, just not worth my time. DH to Lima for a mt and take to Perrysburg for a live and then down to MS for Friday. Then another pplan that picked up in Columbus going to Winston Salem and something was not right. Called in and found out that it was a load that was going to be t-called in Columbus but not real sure when. They said that it was a team truck and asked them to check a little more and found out that a brand new student. So while looking he found me a load from Chillocothe to Santa Clara, CA for a Monday delivery. Got a hold of the planner and said that it was mine if I wanted. Heck yes. BT to P&G for a 22K load and del 0900. What a way to start the week. A nice 2500 mile load. I know that I can grab another at least 800 miles by Wednesday. After being in the hole, this is great.
Also received a phone call from IEL and told me that my new truck is already in but can pick it up April 3rd. Said that it was one coming in as a company truck and I had to ask again, company truck or O/O truck that is spec'd. Was told O/O spec'd. Can not wait.
