Did everyone get their all important "fatigue warning message" today? I found it to be very informative. After all, it seriously takes the body 2 weeks to adjust to daylight savings time. All of that extra fatigue and "jet lag" so to speak is really dangerous on the roadways. Driving is a very structured industry and we follow a strict 9-5 schedule at all times. It's hard for drivers to adjust to changing schedules as there are never any delays, detention, or flip flopping of schedules ever. Also, drivers always drive in only one time zone and never have to adjust their clocks for any reason. Please be careful out there drivers over the next 2 weeks as it's going to get very hectic.

no joke.......sometimes I wonder just how disconnected these folks can get.
I appreciate the thought, but, dang people, you've got drivers driving back and forth between Alabama and Georgia every day.
The real rub (for me anyway) was the trip between GA and Phoenix AZ. I had no idea what time it was.......stevep1977, mickimause and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Yesterday I woke up at 1700 and today I didn't move until about 2000 oh Lord how will I handle this 1 hour time shift. Come the time change half of the office folks will probably be calling in late for the first two weeks using "my body can't handle it" as an excuse LOL.
On the plus side I now have 1 more hour of vampire mode before all the solar powered drivers start to wake up.91B20H8, stevep1977 and mickimause Thank this. -
Woke up after being asleep for an hour or so and decided to randomly check the load board. LOL wish I was ready to head across the country. There is a load on the board right now going from High Point, NC to Tukwila, WA. Pays over $4k. That's the longest run I've ever actually seen show up on the board before. 10k lbs, drop and hook on both ends... someone grab it!

no you dont. you've lost that hour of vampire. their wake up time comes one hour sooner. You will gain that time in the fall.mickimause Thanks this.

Won't the sun be rising an hour later? Right now sunrise is around 6:30am, after the change it should rise at 7:30am, so I have an extra hour of darkness in the morning. Of course the sun will set later too, but evening isn't as much of an issue as morning.
Like the first DBL I had. I swear it felt like I was in 1st grade. If I did something wrong or something she didn't like, she would try to handle the situation by saying "we shouldn't be doing so and so" or "we might want to do this differently". Man that got old really quick.mickimause Thanks this. -
Tonight you still lose that hour. And tge sunrises when it does, not on arbitrary changeable human concept of time
mickimause Thanks this. -
Bet the loads back aren't anywhere near that $$$$$.
