do you have an engine miss fire, or a bad engine mount?
Check the Ujoint at the transmission output..
.... PhilipDorsey Thanks this. -
Bad engine mounts, broken cross members , carrier bearing . ride height etc, etc. long list
Dorsey Thanks this. -
bad tire, out of balance.
-
I checked the ujoints. Where the drive shafts slides back and forth wiggles a little. I dont know if that is normal. The carrier bearing has a rubber price on it? I can make that move. Normal? As far as the truck having a miss fire. I know this sounds stupid but you really can't tell with the vibration. It still pulls good. That's why I asked earlier on another thread about how to check for codes. Nothing for codes though other that the 55.

The rubber moving is normal. It's there to absorb the movement of the ujoints at that location. The slip joint moving is not normal. There shouldn't be any play there at all. It should only be able to slide forward and backward within itself
Dorsey Thanks this. -
is it Cascadia dd15 ?
-
I think you found your problem.............the slip yoke is not suppose to wiggle. Many forget to grease this and it dries out.Dorsey Thanks this.
-
No. It's a 2007 379 with a c15. -
I stopped by a shop with a pit today and had them check it. He didn't seem to think much of it. Said he's seen worse. I parked it and crawled back under and it is only a slight movement. It's VERY hard to crawl under this truck. Me getting up under there is like putting a round peg in a square hole. Fat people and car haulers don't mix.
