Many of the rest areas in CO between there and Denver are not kind to big trucks.

Ya know? I had a GREAT night's sleep and wake up and I'm the only truck in that little rest area. As I'm walking to use the restroom I FINALLY see the sign that says, "No Overnight Parking"...

    .... oh.

THAT's why there's nobody else here.

I decided to move on down the road before dawn to the rest area in Rifle, with the hiking trail around the big pond, have breakfast and watch the sun rise.

Yeah, that danged center cap kept falling out of the Cascadia's I drove. I found the solution for that was duct tape or Gorilla tape. Made for a more comfortable grip anyway.

Barstow, CA. After tracking late for 2 days now tracking early. Dreading Lathrop tomorrow. I remember the last time that I was there a few years ago, unless had this little plastic card that you could load money on you could not get anything from the vending machines and when I was there n one in the office had any little pieces of plastic to hand out. Wonder if it is the same. I know that if Lathrop wants to play games with my DOT and getting a decent load out of there that IS NOT going west on I-80 that is real heavy, I think that I will relocate in BT to Sparks where I know that I can get a load heading back south west. Do not want to mess around with a real heavy load, like Bush's to Cheyene all the way across 80. Do not like the idea of 5mpg.

At home, noticed some oil on my drive from the truck. Went under it to look, coming from the oil filter. Grab a glove and try to tighten, go figure it was loose.
Have a load about 10 minutes from the house to just above Jackson, TN at Sav a lot. I remember that place, they are no fun. Oh well. Just hope the Memphis planners have something good for me to go from there....

Still in Lebec at the Petro on I-5, can hopefully get unloaded tomorrow. I'm going to have a talk with my DM about why she refused to let me t-call in Albuquerque so this load could deliver on time. I lost two extra days now on top of the three days I'll lose next week on home time for doctor appointments. I'm not even sure I want to stay in Lancaster anymore or stay and take my chances with another DM there.

Petro off I 81 in TN. Seems this is a Swift terminal tnite. Loads of Swifties. Another really easy day. 541 miles. Dropped at Wally DC then 84 mt miles to get under these 8 rolls of paper. Only heading down towards Birmingham and not scheduled for l/u til 9:00 am Tuesday. So if they won't take it in the morning I'll have a short drive to fuel stop and then a day idle. Just a gorgeous day on I-81. High of 65 no wind. Almost wished I'd have stopped and just went for a walk in the woods. Started craving pizza about 10:30 today so Truckers Path helped me decide to stop here. Excellent pie, however the young lady who was working her first day there thought I was asking about desert when I inquired about the size of their pies. Sure thot a prerequisite of employment in an Italian bidness would be familiar with the lingo or was that linguini??

Keep em upright and tween the lines friends.

You DO NOT need any "plastic card" other than your credit/debit card in order to get food at lathrop.

I get loads out of the Lathrop/Stockton/Modesto area headed towards Phoenix ALL THE TIME. I usually BT OUT of the Reno/Sparks area in order to get a decent load.
