You weren't cited for anything but you were fired?
missjhawk Thanks this. -
Sounds to me that if you were not charged, in any way, is this on your DMV report? Have you checked into that as well?
If you are "clean" and since NO vehicle contact, I'd almost venture to guess you need not mention this accident on a job application?
As to why you were fired, that I cannot say for sure, except maybe someway, somehow, your former employer decided that since you were there, you caused the accident?
I think that you can get this removed from your DAC. Follow the DAC website to get in a rebuttle at the very least. There are trcuking lawyers that should be able to force DAC to remove this information. -
Just start applying, don't worry about what was put there, just apply for the jobs and see what happens, you are assuming too much at this point.

Go to the Hireright website and dispute the claim. http://www.hireright.com/applicants/view/background-report-dac-report-dispute-accuracy Only the company you worked can add to the DAC report. If it isnt listed on your PSP or your MVR you probably have a pretty good chance of having it removed or at worse you will be able to have your version of the incident included on the DAC report. Most reasonable safety departments will be able to see through to the truth. The key is to be as honest as you can about the incident. Sometimes we tend to see and believe what we perceive as the truth. Make sure you are 100% accurate with the facts of what happened. Your other option is talk to the safety department and reason with them to change or remove the report. Also, make sure when you apply with a new company that you list and explain the incident. If there were injuries and a tow that accident is a DOT recordable accident and should show up on your PSP if you were truly involvedso I would say you would have a pretty good case to explain to a new company.

Good luck with Hire Right! They are A-holes!
I have a dispute open with them now from where a company put an accident on there as preventable.
I took the ticket to court, was completely dismissed by the Judge that I was not at fault.
4 wheeler forced his way in front of me and slammed on the brakes....I barely bumped them.
It is not on my driving record or PSP but DAC will not take it off.
I sent them certified copies of everything from the court and they still said the company that put it on DAC has to agree to remove it.
Bunch of BS....I hate Hire Right!!!
