For those of you on android phones that have a data connection
    http://foxfi.com/

in mid-October, 4G/LTE amplifiers will be available through maximum signal. You'll never have another problem getting internet/data connection again with one of these. had one for my Droid Incredible 3G and it was phenomenal.

I'm not too terribly savvy on what all this means but I am reading everything I can find that pertains to mobile internet as I am a computer junkie and getting ready to go on the road with my Husband full time. I see that the Maximum Signal is going to run around $600. Is it possible that the phone carrriers will be able to block these devices or am I way out in left field as to how this works?

Last night, I purchased 31 days of this service for $19.99. It is very fast, very reliable, and very easy to use...

With that said, here's the other shoe:

Nothing in my user agreement, or on my receipt, limits where I can connect, only that it is good for "31 days of Wandering WiFI service."

    Wait for it...

What I purchased is only good at Pilot & Flying J.

If I want to use it at a Love's, then I have to create, and pay for, a second account.

If I want to use it at a TA, then I have to create, and pay for, a third account.

If I want to use it at an AMBest, then I have to... you guessed it... create, and pay for, yet another account.

This is highway robbery! Who in the crap wants to have four separate paid accounts with the same provider, just so you can use it at different brands of truck stops?!!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE (???)... it is a RIPOFF!!!

I'm at the J in Houston, perfect line of sight to the building etc. No internet for 2 days, call Wandering WiFi and spend 35 minutes on the phone with this fella who by the way was a nice enough guy. After going over the usual " are you parked beside a reefer?, is there a white truck in the parking lot?, is there a dog taking a dump?, he gives up and says nothing he can do. LOL, it like magic tho' how you can get the whole login/payment page and as soon as you click "confirm", you're hooped. You can spend hours trying to get a page to load. Too bad they don't send out a "Rate this service" bulletin like you get from pilot/J not that it would make a difference. Wandering WiFi sucks large and like their name suggests, it wanders everywhere except where you need it. Garbage service and product plain and simple.

    MrRRFIV Thanks this.

Our company allows us to stay at Red Roofs. These motels have Wandering wifi. Every one that I have stayed at, the wifi/internet was terrible. Very slow and/or no wifi signal.
Red Roof blames Wandering wifi and wandering wifi blames Red Roof.

i don't think wandering wifi is as great as they say they are!

They is "Wandering WiFi" . Too many times I was on the phone with them from my room trying to get them to correct a wifi problem. I have given up and refuse to stay at Red Roofs.
i have also emailed Red Roof Corp and suggests they get rid of wandering wifi. Surprise, No Reply!
i would never recommend them to anyone or business.
