Wow, looking at some of these pictures you guys are posting, you guys are really good at tarping. Is that just from experience?
-
To me loads tarped like that are a form of art, you know when you see one going down the road and the tarps all laying like they're supposed to that the driver took time and effort to build a masterpiece!
Today I got to take a 10' X 10' X 6' high box 330 miles, unload it and load an identical one back and both had to be tarped. It took me less than 20 minutes from throwing the tarp on top of the box to hanging up the unused bungees. I forgot what it's like to tarp something close to normal. Will take a picture in the morning to remind me on Monday when I'm beating my head against Bertha trying to get it right for 10 hours.truckdad, Riprap and dannythetrucker Thank this. -
For me, experience and listening to what the "old guys" have to say. I like to take my time and walk back many times looking at the whole picture and just trying to figure out where it needs more work.dannythetrucker Thanks this.

I gotta ask,.. looks like a rest stop in the pic I quoted. Did you climb a tree to get that pic?

Drone with a camera, I carry a couple in the truck with me. The latest flies completely autonomously all I do is input the GPS points on an overlay of Google Earth, hit the start button and off it goes (it does however have no ability to "see" objects in its path such as power lines which is why at the moment it's down for repairs).

Drone Pics (of tarped loads to try and stay on subject).

What it really comes down to is, you are either an open deck guy or your not. It can not really be explained or rationalized.

I would tarp this 20 times before I showed up at a grocery warehouse and be treated poorly..
One just has to figure out what flavor one isRiprap, *Five-0*, fortycalglock and 7 others Thank this. -
Keep in mind, these guys are in the high end of the business. These are not cheap tarp jobs. In order to make it in the high end of the open trailer world, you HAVE TO be able to tarp well. Quality service is everything on the high end of the spectrum.catalinaflyer Thanks this.

You are correct. When you have $1,000,000.00 of stuff on the deck the customer expects it to arrive at the destination in the same condition it was in when it left the shipper.
