Ontario OR. Hour 10 of detention so far. The shipper said they are having some issues. I'm only a couple hundred miles from my DC so whenever they finish I'll be good to go.
I jokingly told them that they may have to refuel my reefer.
This backhaul is notorious for being a pain, but I'm at 3400 miles for the week and on recap so I took this load so another guy could have a direct run to his hometown for a 34.
All good that ends well, I can't complain for one hiccup a week.OceanDan Thanks this. -
man...I won't run the I-10 anymore, but I know exactly which place you are talking about...it's the National Truck Stop, I believe. Outstanding burritos...but they were always changing their hours...then one of the hot burrito ladies wasn't there anymore. Never tried the restaurant inside though.

The system will mislead you from windows, because it is setup to get you there faster, and discourage you from taking your sweet time. Making you think it needs to be there 12+ hours early, they can generally push an extra load on your truck as a result. You should always call your DM for windows on drops and live unloads. The system doesn't know what schedule works best for you. By now, you should already know how much a couple hours leeway can help in your overall planning (comfort). It's often not someone changing the times between pplan and dispatch, but the system trying to make you more money.

Could be the Texaco across the street ... but the construction actually has the detour going through their parking lot. The Texaco was $.02 cheaper than NTI last week. But I fuel at NTI anyway. Texaco are buttheads, cold showers and they insist on holding my CDL hostage to fuel. I'll give NTI the $4 for the better service.

I always running and planning on running early, so no worries. I was trying to discern the logic for reducing once I've seen it. I won't ever complain about making more money. If I have the hours I'd rather be on line three.

Today they were .10/gal cheaper then the NTS across the street. This morning they where only taking our fuel cards. The exit is now open so you do not have to go through their parking lot. The last time that I went to the NTS I actually got worst service.

Here in Comfort, TX. Was thinking about stopping at the Petro or TA in San Antonio but remember what it can be like at around 6 or so trying to get in their on a Sunday night. Heck, I only have another 1015 miles by Wednesday so figured what is the rush. It will still get their Tuesday afternoon.

If the system ever cuts too much time doing that sort of thing simply send a Mac 22.
I'll just say, "I agreed to a certain time when I accepted the pplan" or "I expect the same delivery window that I agreed to".
Or something to that effect. I've sent ruder responses at times, because I hate it when the computer tries to blindside me. -
Billings, MT.
I have a 1030 live unload tomorrow in Bozeman, then grab a load 30 miles away headed for Abalama.
It's a nice 1900 mile load, but doesn't deliver until next pay period. I'll have another near zero check again, but 1900 miles by Friday morning.
The following check should be fantastic.
