I always fuel at the Texaco but have never been inside since they have payment machines similar to QT .

It's been at least a couple of years since I was there - just after Texaco took it over from Chevron, I think. You had to pay inside at the time.
-
You still pay inside. I have found many when I am south that they want your DL also. Even the other week when I was fueling up in Oklahoma at a place.

Booming metropolis of Farson, WY in the Valley Mart dirt parking lot. I was planning on getting at LEAST down to Little America or beyond today, but....
... what are the odds of getting a flat on the trailer on the SAME tire?
I picked up this trailer in the mud bog that passes for a customer yard in Worland, WY after making my delivery in Casper this morning. Yesterday in Loveland after hooking to the Casper trailer had a trailer tire absolutely flat and the bead was gone. That cost me almost two hours on hold with On Road and another hour waiting to get the tire repaired (nail). It put me hard up against my 14 and about 10-15 minutes shy of being able to make delivery last night.
Now I'll take a 10 here, wait for tire repair, and get an early start tomorrow. Hopefully I won't be too late for live unload in San Bernardino Tuesday morning.OceanDan Thanks this. -
Must have been Crown Cork and Seal?
Aside from the dirt lot they are a very easy pick up.
Drop the mt trailer, hook to the load with the paperwork in the nose box, loaded call and go. No people to deal with at all.
It's a bit slow getting in and out of there, for miles and miles in any direction. But the shipper is one of the easiest there are.
It seems whenever I deliver in/around Casper or Sheridan, my next pick up will be Crown Cork and Seal.
For company drivers... make sure you have a full load of fuel going in. There are very few places Swift uses within a few hundred miles, and you may have to divert by 100 or so to get fuel.
My last load to Sheridan had my last fuel stop in Nebraska. I was low on fuel but the computer would not open me for fuel at any place I stopped into or out of Worland.
It hadn't even given me a fuel route, just a message to contact my DM for fuel stops.
My DM ended up giving me a company advance so I could get $120 worth to get me back to the interstate and a 'proper' fuel stop.
I've yet to be reimbursed for it.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Finally picked up Tcall in Lathrop on Saturday afternoon. Looked at BOL and noticed instructions that any load with carton count over 100 has to be scheduled a minimum 24 hours advance. I have 104 cartons, go figure. So I call them up and get voice mail saying "our delivery office is open to schedule appointments Mon-Fri 7am to 5pm."
700 miles from Lathrop to Chehalis...so if you read carefully what I said, that will make 4 days under this load.
This was after yelling at planners for lying to me saying it was at the terminal ready since the day before, while it was 500 miles away in San Diego. So I sat babysitting for 15 hours before it even showed up at the terminal. I've had such an unfortunate year so far...I cannot take anymore hits like this. If they can't pull a miracle out of their ### and break that 24 hour notice rule to deliver, then it will be bye bye time. Glorified company driver days coming to an end.scottied67 and OceanDan Thank this. -
Look closer next time you're there . They have machines outside at every other pump for two pumps . I fueled there last week .

Finally made it home last night no thanks to the planners at Lancaster. I'm seriously considering a transfer to Laredo and any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I live east of Houston, but I don't really want to run out of this terminal and I've had enough of ECT in Memphis for a while.
OceanDan Thanks this. -
Jenna , I'm out of the Laredo terminal and they take really good care of me . Pedro Ortiz is the fleet manager and his phone is 956-794-1148. I recommend anywhere other than Lancaster . The Laredo DMs are all extremely helpful with owners .

I'll back that up ... I'm not out of Laredo. But, I've found the planners/staff in Laredo to be very helpful and driver-O/O friendly.
