I always check those out when ever I see one ... lucky to see on at Swift over 10 days. The biggest was KC in GB ... well past 7000 days.

Those talc loads can be annoying that way. The twin bridges mine seems a little faster sometimes.

The other day took a shipper 15 hours to load me. First time I've had a wait of over five hours. Hopefully never again lol.

I hate being in that position.

If you gather them in a big pile to use the bottom ones first, how do you know you have sorted them correctly?

Females would never do such a thing but, there is always the sniff test.
If it doesn't immediately repel you, it is good for one more day.
Just don't do it with socks. Socks can not be recycled unless you are willing to accept some fungus between your toes for a couple weeks.

I can't do it that way, in any case.
Mine get layered on the floor, kind of like a throw rug. It keeps the floor clean when I have dirty shoes.
When I get too low on clean stuff, I'll add some extra time on a load so I can make sure I can wash them.

You're right, it was a talc load.

And I'll bet those other drivers wished they had pushed that last load just a little more to get there ahead of me.

I called Gilbert, the Laredo terminal manager, this afternoon and put everything in motion. I'll hopefully be starting the new period Thursday with a DM that is willing to work with me instead of against me. =D

A21CAV, OceanDan and Moosetek13 Thank this.

Good luck ... Yeah Gilbert helped me out once when I was in Dallas and trying to get out after sitting for a day and half. Told him I was willing to DH down to Laredo if he had a load for me, he said there loads in Dallas, low and behold after all that time not getting a load, I get a 1500 mile load out of Dallas.

    jenziedk Thanks this.

After I got my truck out of the KW shop in Albuquerque after lunch Friday, I called my DM so she would get on the ball and get me a load back to Texas since I have two doctor visits tomorrow. After 4 hours of messaging her, mac30, and calling Memphis I finally asked for the only person I knew by name in Memphis. It took Jon 2 minutes to find out there was freight there, call a planner and get me moving home. That was the last straw with Ms. May, I'm calling Lancaster in the morning to give her the boot.

What the H - E - Double Hockey Sticks is going on in Lancaster? My friend (and future team driver) has been waiting for her drug test results from orientation TWO WEEKS AGO. Her mentor (another friend of mine, a lease op) has been doing short local loads to keep from going too far into debt during the wait.

She (the trainee) used the tracking information on her copy of the test paperwork this afternoon, and found that the results were delivered to Lancaster TEN DAYS AGO.

Her recruiter (who knows EVERYONE at the terminals) said that heads are going to roll on this one...

In other (unrelated) news, the leveling valve on my truck finally blew up. As in shot the valve stem right out, and now air blows out the hole at a pretty good rate. I have a loaner truck for tomorrow, so I'm not worried. I'm going to call OnRoad tomorrow after my run (I'll start a 34 then) and see if I can take it to the TA ten minutes away. I can drive the truck bobtail for short distances, but I really don't want to drive it the 45 miles down to the Martinsburg terminal. Maybe they'll be willing to let TA do the work, rather than paying a rather large towing bill. :p

There ain't no food nor WiFi at Martinsburg, but the TA in Greencastle has plenty of both at the buffet... :)

The boss man has a plan to have me play musical trucks so I can take a turn-in truck to Greer or Memphis and get a low mileage team-ready truck, but we have so many trucks in the shop right now that he has no truck available for the other driver. (My truck is going to need a week in the shop before it's ready for use.)

    What fun...

The way Lancaster has been screwing with O/Os on short runs lately; the tin foil hat says they been holding back the paper to keep that O/O on a short leash and running the locals.
