I live in Mississippi. I am taking my HAZMAT test tomorrow. If anyone can help with these 2 questions.

Number of Placards: In MS CDL manual it doesn't state how many. In class and video we were told there are 19 placards. Practice test I took it was 31. Anyone know the correct number???
Number of years before recertified: In video we were told 2 years, in MS CDL manual it states 3 years. One of the practice test it said 2 years. Anyone know correct answer.

Thanks for any input on these questions.

If the manual doesn't say how many placards there are then that won't be on the test. But im pretty sure one of the questions will be how many classes there are which is 9.

I just took one of the practice tests on this site and it asked how often a driver carrying hazmats had to be re-tested and I put down 3 years and it said it was correct. The NC CDL handbook says retesting must occur every 3 years also. I have also taken various practice tests on the net and some say 31 placards and some have said 22. Life DOES get complicated!

    Dave75 Thanks this.

I took the test today and in MS it's 31 placards and retested every 3 years.
