Halifax, Nova Scotia to Lancaster, Ontario.
1,341km or 833 miles.
WB inspection station is literally right before the 814 exit. Blew past with 5 mins left on my 14, had a beautiful macho nacho burger from Denny's to celebrate.
Get'r'dun

I think the final straw for MT, was the 5 Mercedes test engineers in a group of "test" cars that rang the bell at 150 mph.
My shortest rnd trip, Denver to Houston, Tx., drop and bobtail home, hair under 38 hrs, including fuel stops
Denver to Houston and back, loaded each way, 44 hrs, including unloading, reloading and fuel, '99 and '01 respectively
Longest one way was Seattle to Denver, stopping in Yakima for food and Mtn. Home for fuel (Ut trooper is probably still trying to figure out where I went). Left Seattle @ 3 pm MDT Weds., arrived in Denver @ Noon MDT Thursday,Mr.X Thanks this. -
I used to run steady from VT to Phoenix, out on the 40 in NM & AZ..... One could really get out there and stroll, if you had a large car....The 425 pump was turned way up (big button) back then and the speedo only went to 80, but I recall on occasion having it pinned way past that....Don't ever recall having any trouble out there though, but getting through Ohio was always a pain in the #####, with their dxxn 65 for cars and 55 for trucks...We were always lookin out for the "silver bullets", worst State I ever drove through by far.....ramblingman and Mr.X Thank this.

Last one I did was Chicago to Denver, around a 1000 miles. Got up around 5, loaded my cars and put it the wind. I was unloaded and in bed around 11pm.
Used to do a lot of overnights... spend all day in Michigan running around grabbing cars, get rolling about dark, and be in Minneapolis in the morning, 600-700 depending on where you did your last pick. Did that most weeks for a year or two. It was always a make it if you can kind of deal, and you old timers know how it is, you know when it's time to give it up and when you can make it through. I think that's what ticks me off the most about the log book rules, and rookie runs the same rules as we do. After all these years, I've long since learned when it's time to give it up before you start to get stupid.allniter Thanks this. -

Back when I was chasing tail.....many a miles were run up, (got paid by the hub to!)
Once, and I still get odd looks with this one, left Covington, LA (New Orleans area) around 5PM Sunday. Alternator went wonky bedded down in the TA shop in Baytown. Fixed up ready to go by 10AM Monday.
Hit Phoenix delivery Tuesday, got 4 new tires on trailer. Delivered City of Industry Wednesday, no backhaul just bring back empty kegs. Back at my house in LA midnight Thursday. Wasn't scheduled to be back until Saturday. Free day off! 3800 miles, 3 1/2 days
Got stopped by NM's finest for the famous flaps flapping on the trailer! Walk around and book check and he let me ride with a cursory, "next time show where you got the tires changed"
D'oh!
Another time and this was the tail. Picked Friday. Stayed home until Saturday morning. Pushed out and made it to Hesperia, CA by the late football games Sunday to watch my Saint's Play! 1850 miles, 28 hours -
I generally try to be a good boy but there was that one time I just had to get out of the truck...just couldn't spend one more night in it. So started at the Petro in Glendale, Ky, dropped in Dallas then dead head home to Houston. Checked in at a little over 1000 miles. It was so worth it.
