Directions to Fresh Direct Market in Long Island NY

78, 287, 95 north, 278, verrazano Narrows bridge, 495 west? All at 2AM, so you dont get stomped by traffic? Looks like an easy place to back into.

 

it is at 23rd st & borden ave. in Long island City NY just off 495

 

To the OP> Long Island City is a neighborhood in Queens. Don't confuse it with Long Island.

 

#1 call them and figure out what time they want you in there to deliver

Looking from above on google maps - that large area that looks like where you will deliver - appears to be for their smaller city trucks only, by the street view the big trucks back into the building just east of there from the street and it looks to be fairly tight but not impossible

Get onto 278 from either direction then 495 west, exit 15 to Borden Ave, that will take you right in ...

exit the same way you went in

Yes you can go that way...but since u know the point...go to exit 4and get on the Sheridan but do not get off...like u are goin to mkt....follow the expwy over the triboro(rfk)bridge into Queens...pay close attention and Follow signs for TRUCK ROUTE 278...this will put you on the service Rd on queens side (takes u around low bridge)Then get on 278 towards Bklyn...its a straight shot down service rd and down ramp...follow 278 to 495.. Also marked LIE or Long Island Expwy...take 495 West toward Manhattan.....take exit marked Van Dam St(I think it is first exit off 495....get off ramp go straight...the service rd is Borden at that point....follow Borden...it will curve you back under the LIE . Just before Canal bridge ...at that point you are on the proper side of Borden....ur place should be 4-5 blocks on left....


Also if u wanna save some$$$$you can drop down off 80 and cross into Bklyn from Staten Island...the you only have One bridge toll instead of 2....

then basically do the reverse to leave....or if u r up for a challenge you can sneak outta there thru Manhattan and avoid the tolls....
