That's great news and Erasmo is going to amaze you . He's been with the company for years and knows what owners need done . He's one that will have a problem fixed before you finish explaining what the problem is .

In California's namesake town: Weed.
Beautiful afternoon, parked in the Pilot, with Mt. Shasta in my "picture window" as I eat dinner. It's amazing how far away you can see Shasta, from 100 miles away coming from the south on I-5.
Another day hard up against my 14 because of a need to make a delivery well in advance of a live load in Fresno. Not a problem, I should be able to make my early morning live unload in the booming metropolis of Orondo, WA day after tomorrow, and tomorrow should be a beautiful day running up US-97 through central Oregon and Washington.
The customer in Orondo has been described as a "job site" with a need to call the customer 30 minutes in advance of delivery. When I tried Google satellite view it comes up as a farm field, so this should be an interesting delivery. This time I'll chain up BEFORE I get into the mud.
OceanDan Thanks this. -
Richmond terminal. Knocked out the last two stops for the Ford load. Great backing experience for this rookie as all three stops were tight quarters.
Got under this one in Suffolk, heading to Amsterdam NY. Delivered to this location while with mentor. Will be an enjoyable ride.
Wreck on 295 NB 16 miles from my exit here so lost a tad over an hour. Two four wheelers and two oversize hauling a doublewide apparently tangled. One driver on the radio said lifeflight was on scene. It was cleared by the time I paased.
Keep em upright and tween the lines friends.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Been a little MIA on here, been pretty busy lately and making some decent checks, worked through my days off and finally was able to get home today needing a 34 not getting hours back for a couple days.
Freight good for you guys out there? I have noticed a ton more trucks on the road lately and truck stops / rest areas filling up early everywhere I drive. -
Swift/IEL must have been given "an offer they couldn't refuse" on those, since a ton of them showed up as company trucks. I hope that they've fixed the maintenance issues they've been plagued with, since I'm likely to be getting in one in another month. (Going to run company team; my good friend and future team driver is just starting her mentorship.)

Still here in Valdosta. Caught a 24 hour bug last night and up all night. Now can barely move without hurting. Plenty of time on my load. I have until 1400 to get to Houston, 740 miles by Saturday. Today will just rest, OD on Dayquil and water.
MsJamie. They are getting lots of auto's in. They have been testing some for some time. All that I here is good about them so far. I did hear that Mentors can not get auto's -
only auto's i've driven were daycabs from when i worked for coca cola. they were considered hybrids cause it ran on batteries at first, then switched to fuel. hated them. dont know if sleepers are any better since i havent driven one yet

I've got 100k miles on my 680 and outside of normal B svc etc the only maintenance my KW has needed was a fuel filter. The cab doesn't leak, it's quieter, more comfortable, and roomier than my FL or Volvos were. I have yet to talk to anyone with a 680 who has had maintenance issues. In sure you will be pleased.

Shreveport, LA.
I didn't get as far as I wanted today, but I needed to do laundry. The Petro was the last place on my route I could be certain of.
No matter. I'll just have to start a couple hours earlier in the morning.
It's good to get some feedback about the KW. I was wondering how reliable they were.
Aside from the room I like my Volvo. Now, if only I could get the batteries replaced.
It was in the Salt Lake terminal for several issues, one being the batteries. They said the batteries checked out OK so they would not replace them.
However, within 15 minutes of shutting off the engine I get a red blinking light just before all power to the cab is cut off.
The mechanic told me it was because I had a cooler running constantly. Please!
He had unplugged it and the voltage didn't drop as fast so he said that was the problem.
But with good batteries I can run the cooler, the lunchbox oven, my computer and the bunk heater without a problem for hours and hours.
As soon as I shut down the engine the voltage drops to around 11.7V, even with the cooler unplugged and nothing else running. Soon after (with anything turned on, even interior lights) it is below 11.3V and everything is cut off.
So I'm forced to idle much more than I need to.
One of these days I'll try to get it into a TA/Petro shop. They, at least, will test each individual battery.
SLC doesn't. They claim the batteries are tested in pairs, but they never disconnected anything while testing. They would put in on a charger for a few hours, then check it every now and then.
I've had this same problem a few times with different trucks. It always turns out to be one or two bad batteries.Lepton1 Thanks this.
