I worked for interstate for a week, quite yesterday and got my paycheck today in the mail. Anyway I tried calling payroll of course no one is available in payroll being its the weekend. From looking at my pay statement can anybody tell me how they broke down my pay I grossed 482$ but only took home $170. Trying to figure it out but can't wrap my head around it.

I can't quite see the small print clearly, but from what I see, they withheld the lumper fees etc, which they always do, UNTIL they get the receipt. Until they get the receipt from you that you got from the lumper or any expense you paid for, they will not reimburse you. Like I said, I can't quite see the small print and can't make it larger. You should have X amount of mi @ whatever rate you made less taxes etc.

Just out of curiosity, why did you quit after just one week?

I should've scanned those papers instead of taking pics. I scanned the lumped receipt even called payroll to ask if they got all my paperwork, I was told "yes" except for the 300$ fuel receipt and was it wouldn't affect my pay and to turn it in next trip. I grossed 482-260 isnt close to 170, I don't know?

Looks like you got a $300 fuel advance (Comchek?) because your fuel card didn't work. They didn't reimburse you for the fuel on this settlement. My company reimburses Comchek advances only AFTER I submit an expense report with the fuel receipt. Yours may require something similar. Did you do that?

edit: I see where you didn't send in the fuel receipt and they also told you that it wouldn't affect your pay. The person you talked to probably didn't know you got a Comchek advance. If you'd used the fuel card, then it wouldn't affect your pay. Since you got a Comchek advance, then you won't be reimbursed until you get the receipt to them.

I was told it wouldn't affect my pay and to turn in the receipt next trip I did. Maybe I owe taxes I haven't played mine yet.

all i could see is the 300 for fuel....if it wasn't for that you would have made 300 dollars more on your check...

so here in the near future, you should recieve a check for 300 for the advance of the fuel...

Yeah when they advance $$$, they take it out of your check until you get the receipt in. Normally, it will flow into next pay period, so receipt turned in this week, but no reimbursement until next week. In the future, always try when possible to have truck co give vendor a purchase order so you the driver are left out of the loop, other wise, you are basically "floating " the co. which isn't fair.

    Lowa3468 Thanks this.

I worked for some places in the last year where I used a comchk every time I fueled and if I missed a receipt on the rare occasion it didn't affect my pay. I was still in the former mindset I guess. Hopefully the fuel receipt is the issue.
