Of course he did! That way, he didn't have to do any actual work trying to find the problem.
I was having battery problems last Spring, and had the mech at (old) SLC check the batteries. He said that they were fine. A week later, the mech at Martinsburg, WV found two bad batteries, and was surprised that my truck was still running. -
Dont know how some of you can trust food safety with those lousy 12v thermoelectric coolers, I stick with my coleman extreme 5 day ice chest, hasnt let me down the past couple years.
Delivered to the Van Nuys store today with the lovely tight blind side, got back to the dc and was supposed to do a Santa Maria but had to bobtail up near Lebec to repower a load going to no other than the other Van Nuys store, first time ever delivering to both in the same day then ran to Yussen in Long Beach. Working my day off tomorrow taking a Vegas load which will make for another decent check, last 2 weeks I have netted over $1k each week even after taxes and child support etc.
Next week I need my days off though because we will be moving to our new house then they can work me all they want since I will only be 9 miles from the house and can go home almost every night. -
Still in Valdosta. Trying to get out of here and today the Decatur planner has sent me 3 pplans. Two of them was about 30% mt and both where scheduled to be picked up on the 19th and delivered to areas that are freight is just has bad, on the 21st. Then just now sent a pplan that had 100% me and del 380 miles, also was supposed to be picked up on the 19th. I will not do those. They are just loads that someone dropped the ball and not even special comments from the planners saying please cover this and nothing will happen. Oh, btw, it has been the same planner. Two of the customers were Wal-Mart and one was Target. Was trying to get a decent P&G load and none of them are in the system as far as OTR. Most are scheduled for rail. As far as Command, the best that they had, mt 300 miles to get one. So I just set my PTA for tomorrow morning and see what happens. Get those drivers that have been sitting the weekend in Decatur out and maybe something good will happen.
HousTank Thanks this. -
Wow ! Fleet 05 owners just got news of a three and one half cent rate increase effective May 1st . I feel so hugely appreciated . Not . I think I'll get naked , slather on a gallon of gravy and climb in a box of puppies so I really can feel appreciated .

At a Loves in Paducah KY. Wanted to make Mt Vernon IL for 10 +fuel but construction delays on I-24 west of Nashville killed that leaving me 10 mins short on my 70 to arrive. Kicked in Plan B.
Drop this one in Ottawa KS in the morning and relocate up the road to Lawrence KS for a live load after getting more hours back. Then head to southern MS for a drop. Keeps me away from snow. -
Nothing lousy about the Coleman, especially if you upgrade the fan when the original burns out.
I can keep chicken or fish in there for 4 days with no problems at all.
I get the individually wrapped salmon and chicken breasts at Walmart so I only open the package when I'm ready to cook. But it stays plenty cold enough to stay good for quite a while.
I've never gotten sick from bad food in my Coleman.sisterannie Thanks this. -
X2
Although I have never stored uncooked meats in mine. Everything in my cooler is precooked so there really isn't a huge risk so long as it performs as advertised and thus far it has.
Pilot just north of Findlay, OH on I-75.
Picking up a load in the morn headin eastbound and down for Campbell's in NC. Hopefully after that I can snag a load headed close to home in va for some time off. I worked through the weekend this weekend so I could get my student the last 15 hours he needed to upgrade. Just dropped him off in Columbus this afternoon and I am confident he will do just fine tomorrow morning.
I won't be picking up a student anytime soon. I need a break from teaching all through the winter, besides I may be coming off the road next month and turning over my freightshaker to one of my previous students while I tackle some other business ventures. -
Terminal in Kansas. Do an 18 mile drop in the morning then p/u in Iowa and head for Texas.
I have a question, remember I'm new so go easy on me. Can someone explain "command"? Is this Swift's "broker board"? As an O/O can you haul from the broker boards? Do you have a specific contact for command? Also if hauling a command load will your comdata still work for fuel? OK OK that was more than "a" question but I'm trying to learn. Thanks all.
