I just bought a 2001 Freightliner when the turn the blower motor on it runs two beat hell.. But hardly anything comes out of the vents I check the intake air filter up by the windshield wipers and that one was clean is there another? Or is something else going on

Do you hear air moving to move the flaps that control where the air comes out the def. vents, you should hear them moving when you move the control on dash?

The heater core and/or evaporator are likely clogged with dirt/debris/pet hair, etc. Also male sure the squirrel cage is installed correctly.

Does the air stop blowing out of vent on R of brake buttons when you push lever over to def. if you take face off dash after unscrewing brake butt. then you can shine a light in to see if flaps are closing all the way?

An issue with the heater core won't cause blockage of air in the vents.

Maybe check the routing of hoses that feed to defroster and see if a hose had unhooked?
