Hello everyone , hope all are doing well. Seems like I got behind on the post again :( But its nice to catch up and see whats been going on. I hope the bad weather is soon going to be over , that has to be hard trying to get miles and driving slow because of snow , ice etc...

Everything here in Korea is the same with us and we are for sure ready for spring. It got up to 66 Deg. the other day , love warm weather !

If I don't type this, our thread is gonna get bumped to the second page. Made it Olathe ontime, have been on a long break today which is ok. I can do the overnights as needed but prefer not to. I am fine with spending the night here and getting back on a day schedule tomorrow. Deuces.

The most I did in a day in a 65mph truck was 704 miles. I also spent that night sleeping on an on ramp on 24 in IL.

I am currently in Aurora, CO. Less than two days ago I was sweating balls in Texas and today had to deal with a snow storm coming into Denver. Despite the crazy weather changes life is good right now. I've already got one trip squared away for the week and come Saturday afternoon I'll be sitting on a $1200 paycheck with three days left in our week to add to that. I wish I left TransAm ages ago cause making money is stupid easy now.

I'm chomping at the bit for hometime. If hubby and I weren't going to the Avett Brothers concert then I would just move hometime sooner. But we have plans that are worth the wait.

I've decided I'm fed up with this truck. Next week when Brian ((head of leasing)) is back from vacation I'm calling him about getting a 2016. Nothing is mechanically wrong with this one. It actually runs quite nicely. But it has the Bend in Wingman system ((think OnGuard)) and I am sick of having a truck that tries to think for me. It likes to slam on the brakes when you're about to drive under a bridge and other stuff like that. Only the 2015 trucks have the Wingman as apparently they decided it's not worth it. The company actually listens to the drivers. We all have made it clear that we all hate the ratchet on the landing gear crank and so they stopped ordering them and our new trailers are coming in without it. So only a small portion of our 2015s have ratchet handles. I have a brand new trailer and got to haul its first load. When we fuel we have to enter in the reefer hours at the pump and when I fueled with it yesterday I noticed the reefer hours were only a couple more than I had it for.

Tomorrow I'm grabbing beer in Ft Collins and bouncing down to Wichita and then by Saturday afternoon will be returning an OS&D load to the shipper north of Dallas so once I get ride of that I will probably scoot up to the Denton yard for the night.

Just wanted to check in and let you know I am still keeping an eye on all of you. :biggrin_2554: Much has been going on around here and I have been busy trying to maintain a balance in all things. I think we need a vacation!
I have been at war with the teenagers.....over toilet paper! It used to be that you didn't know everything until you were 18 .....the new age for knowing more than your parents is somewhere between 14 and 15. Youngest Daughter told me that it is an embarrassment that I buy toilet paper every week at the store....every week she berates me for buying it. She says it isn't necessary for me to buy TP every week. So it was eliminated from the shopping list.....she never even noticed. I also hid all of the stash that I keep in the linen closet. Now she has noticed that the supplies are running low and that there are no extras in the closet. She came to me with her concerns and I told her that it wasn't necessary and I wouldn't want to embarrass her anymore so I wouldn't be buying any.:biggrin_25524: She is down to one roll in her bathroom and getting worried. I have been informed that I am ruining her life. Should I sell her a roll? :biggrin_2559:

As you all know, I lost a long time friend last week. It has been an emotional time. Tonight I found out that another friend that has been battling cancer completed her treatments and everything looks great.....Thank you God! .....and.... that another very young friend and mother that went through all of the treatments and surgeries a year and a half ago just got back test results that were not so good. :biggrin_2557: The Queen is tired. Usually, I have loads of information to share and lots of words. Right now, I have brain drain .....there are no more words .....just a heart full of prayers.

I know exactly how you are feeling with the teenagers knowing it all, heck I even have one that just got her permit that thinks she knows everything about driving. That is good news about your one friend, and hope that your friend with the bad results makes a turn around.

HTQ , did not know about your friend , sorry for the loss and hope all starts going better for all others.

Funny story about your children , last summer we went to Indiana for vacation and were having a BBQ with a lot of friends and family over so I stopped at a grocery store , Meijer I think it was and had my granddaughter with me. She is 14 and asked if maybe I should push the cart and then I realized I had the whole cart full of nothing but beer lol so I took over.

I think maybe a vacation would be a good thing for you , always good for a change of pace now and then. I am ready for a vacation every week :biggrin_25523:
