I completely agree. I often fantasize about truckers going on a massive strike and every driver stop delivering watching the chaos unfold. My friend used to say if every trucker stopped after 3 days we would be killing each other for food. A massive strike to raise our wages have laws to allow us to park where we want for our break. More realistic job security 3 strikes and your out is rough this isn't baseball. We're the backbone of America and we should be treated as such. Truckers should be praised not looked down on.

If you're that smart, why choose Werner?

Are you still a trucker after 20 years? Haven't saved up enough to retire? Tell me how much does a 20 year trucking vet make a month?

Some of us are hoping such a strike never happens. What about those of us who are very handsomely compensated, always treated with respect and paid during times that stuff happens out of our control? I'm not interested in giving up what I have worked for to help someone who hasn't yet earned it.

if you have your required years of experience, please don't blame a company for holding you back. You are holding you back, and holding the industry back by working for less than you are worth. You can't expect change - YOU must change.

if employment opportunities are not good in your community, you must do as our ancestors have always done and follow the opportunities. It isn't any company's responsibility to fix the things wrong with your life - it is YOUR responsibility to make a better life for yourself.

Job sucks? Walk with your feet out the door and find something better.
if you can't get a better job, you must ask yourself why and accept responsibility for your past actions that you are now suffering the consequences from. Promise yourself that you will do better and make a plan to get a better job when your record has been proven.

Right you've established yourself in the industry and are doing well. Congratulations. You wouldn't sacrifice a few paychecks for the industry to improve that's a reflection on your own greed nothing else. Wanting more is greed itself, but I don't want things to be better just for me I want this for everyone. It's just a fantasy of mine no need to fear for your job.

I drove for a reefer company my 1st year when I knew nothing about how trucking works..So I had to sit in ATL for 3 days no pay, As soon as I got back to the fontana terminal ..I told them you dont want to pay me to sit I quit .I did not care about DAC..l did not care about having less then 6 months and already just quit my 2nd job..if they dont pay me ..I'm gone simple as that..None of this I got a family to support..I got bills,I got,I got,I got....One thing I longer "got" is sitting or doing ANYTHING for free....So yea its 100 % on the drivers ...
