That is not fair. All your hard work and it came out so pretty. I am glad you get to walk away though. Hopefully the bonehead who hit you will be good for insurance and get you back up and rolling soon.

    Everything happens for a reason.

Dont take this the wrong way. But I'm of the opinion that if a drunk driver hits anyone... I'd rather take the hit in my truck than to read about a family killed in their small car.

Doesnt make it any easier. I feel your frustration brother. But you will move on and return to the road. Hopefully the drunk that hit you learns a valuable and expensive lesson.

Keep us informed how things transpire.
    Wish you the best.

I'm glad to hear you're okay! What kind of vehicle hit you and any clue how fast s/he was traveling?

Hopefully the insurance company will get you back rolling again quickly.

I have a question: After an impact such as that, even though the trailer was not directly hit, will it need to be inspected, recertified (if there is such a thing), or whatever to check the integrity of the critical components?

he was travelling at least 60-80mph. from the point of impact i came to a stop in about 60 ft the explorer came to a stop about 400 ft away from point of impact.

Funny. I am more upset about the Pete being smashed than the fact that someone was drunk.

Edit: Looked at bigger pic. Noticed it wasn't a Pete. Not so upset anymore.
