I guess it must be a Jersey thing. It's not much but every little bit helps. We get paid 15 minutes if we put in over 100 gallons. It's marked "fueling/servicing" on the weekly breakdown.

the 5x points at pilot is nice, I haven't been below $100 in points in months. Nothing worth buying other than candy and water.

I have never had them turn down any hourly expenses I have turned in. Just write them on a summary expense sheet. Most common for me is traffic delays. Even 15 minutes adds up at the end of the week. Just be honest and don't abuse it.
I am finally putting together a good week. The first quarter of 2015 to date has been my slowest in the past 5 years. Dispatch forgot about me for a week in Jan. and I had 2 truck break downs that cost me. Got an 1800 mile out and back Sun-Tuesday this week, a 200 mile local load yesterday, and a 1550 mile out and back for today that should get me home Saturday or Sunday if I can get it done in 28 hours on my 70.
At my terminal dispatch will look at the gross YTD $$ of the drivers and attempt to dispatch the loads to even it out. I imagine I will get a few back to back good weeks to catch up.mxpx148 and cableguy9508 Thank this. -
Time to fire up the smoker. Going to cold smoke a little salmon. -
They finally have me rolling good. 1550 Sun-Tues off Wed 1700 Thurs-Sat off Sun then another 1550 for Mon-Wed

Last Fridays check is week 13 which equals the first quarter.
I grossed right at $13,500. That is with 38 days off at home out of 91. 21 days were full perdiem days spent out on the road. I basically averaged working 4 days per week. That's about 2K below where I have been the past 4 years. I have had a couple of 17K+ quarters over the years. Looks like I am going to need one to break 60K this year.mxpx148 Thanks this. -
I'm sitting at $18,250 for the first 13 weeks, but I've also been running like a madman. I haven't been counting but I figure 3-4 weeks at home doing local out n back or time off and the rest on the road. My goal is to make enough this year to pay down some debt, save for a down payment and qualify for a nice house next year. I have a feeling this summer is going to be really big for us, running non-stop. But in the meantime I'm working as hard as I can to set myself up for success financially, so if things slow down I'll have a good nest egg.
mxpx148, cableguy9508, wsyrob and 1 other person Thank this.
