I don't believe I've worked for a bad company yet. But I have worked under some bad people within a few companies. Some of the planners, dispatchers, and managers I've dealt with know how to drive off productive drivers.

That's the truth. I just recently left a good company for those reasons. The office folks and management were great, but it was a dedicated account and I hated the BS the shipper was constantly shoveling on us and the fact that we were forbidden from shoveling a little of it back.

Oh yes they can!!! There are posts on here that say "I've read all the bad reviews but I know it'll be different". There's an idiot around every corner.
-
Well in that case they get what they deserve.

These kinds of threads might be useful to identify the drivers and recruiters on the site. After a few posts you can probably tell who's who.

superflow and stevep1977 Thank this. -
What if they look like Gremlins?

BS stories from "hit and run" posters are called out here every day, and pretty much every company has their "boosters" chime in.
I'll use my own critical thinking skills to discern the truth of it all. -
I do not agree with you for the most part. There are too many companies that hold the DAC system over a drivers head, and get away with making crap entries about a driver without him/her even knowing. Companies with a account can change your career with a simple key stroke in less than a minute. The driver has to contact them and wait 2 weeks just to find out whats in their record. All drivers should have the same immediate access to information that is being accumulated on them.
I have a incident from JB Hunt in 2000 regarding a paper shift that I didn't know about until 3 months ago. I had a guy cut out onto a 2 lane highway directly in front of me. I had to brake pretty hard, causing the rolls to slide up to the front of the trailer. I couldn't see him on the side of the road because he had bushes in his driveway that were blocking me from seeing him. No way in hell should they have given me a incident over that. Seems pretty childish to me that a company would do that.
But then, ........I do agree with you about some of the people who make bad reports about companies. I have seen quite a few posts that seemed like 1/2 truths, by leaving out information as to what happened.
