WOW, talk about small world ! ! ! I am sure our paths have crossed. Especially if you have ever gone up to Riffe Lake Camp Grounds for Ivy's B'day parties (Riffestock, LOL). We have a good time there, cept for last year when it rained for five days staight. Was wet but fun ! !

I AM talkin bout the dam rod run, I actually have 3 T-Shirts that I have bought over the years from out there.

I JUST graduated from the aformentioned school on the 28th of May. I start with May Trucking on the 18th of June. Can't wait to get on the road.

Haven't gone to one of her B'day parties but have had no problem hearing it in our park until the weee hours of the morning. I know all are just having a good time over there but I still kind of dread the night it happens and all the complaints we get from our campers about quiet hours not being enforced. Just have to tell them the noise is coming from another campground.

Would love to talk to you. Are you planning any trips up here this year or will you probably out on the road?

How do I send a private message on this blog? This was the first time I have ever participated in a blog like this.

LOL, aye, it DOES get loud up there. Especially with the bands.

I will probally be on the road this year as I am just starting my career. Oh well, I am willing to sacrifice. We all have to start out and won't get any vacation for a year or so.

I am not too sure about PM's. I think you have to have a set number of posts to be able to do that. I THINK there is a button you press to send a personal message. I have it turned on, so go for it.:biggrin_255:

    Radman:
Been trying to figure out how to send a PM and guess I need at least 50 posts before I can do it. I did find out that I'm suppose to be able to send you an E-mail so I'll try that now.

Well, don't know if any of that worked. Would like to hear from you though. Got a number of questions to ask. Am usually up late and my # is 491 numbers more than Ivy's. Hope to hear from you.

Having a CDL at 60 is a good idea; but I do not recommend any of these trucking schools. Just go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and take your permit test; (read the book first) most states have third party testers who are retired drivers that will teach you for the road test portion. The truck driving schools charge thousands and only teach you how to fall "deep in debt."

tao4mind: Thanks for the info. I have already taken and passed the written for CDL, Doubles/Triples, Air Brakes, Tankers and Passengers. Didn't take Hazmat. Problem is that here in the state of WA, as of June 15th, everyone MUST attend a certified school and pass the pre-inspection and skills test before a Class A CDL will be issued. I believe most companies that don't train their own drivers now require school and OTR experience to get hired. I've read all the horror stories of some of these companies that train their own dirvers, so thought I would go where I want to get that part done. Local Community College charges around $3500. Not too bad.
