March 08, an old boss ask if I would come back and drive for him and never had problems in the past.
First problem was I noted that permits (IRP) were expired and informed the company, was told that they would be taken care of and replaced.
Second problem, cashing checks at their bank no funds. Was told a booking keeping error.
Strike 3, DOT inspection, permits never up dated so much for trust. Cited and fine is 405.00 if carrier will not pay I have to.
There is no protection for the American Driver and the D.O.T, which seems intent on regulations of every thing we do; does not regulate drivers pay. And for that matter the Federal Wage and Hour are no use.
This was my fault and learn a lesson, people change.
Stuck with 1,400.00 in bounced payroll checks a 405.00 fine and the carrier gets by with murder.

Chances are the company will file a DAC report on you for those permit violations. Truckers Justice Center may be able to help you. They are on the Web search engines.

I totally understand what you are going threw.. I myself am going threw a similar situation with my past employer.. I haven't mentioned anything on the open forum as of yet do to legal action to claim unpaid wages.. Do a little search and you probably will find a post i said something in a few days ago about the company..

    Since November 26th
CrossRoads Transportation (went out of business) $2711
A.D Transport (joke of a company) over $2500
    Unmentioned company roughly $1400

    Total $6611

That is how much money I have lost due to companies trying not to pay.. I already have filled my claims...

Its funny how companies here recently think you as a driver should keep pushing when your not being paid.. want me to drive 4000-5000 a week and only be paid $600 ya right... I will quit in a heartbeat when money is not paid to me within a reasonable amount of time.. (2 weeks)

With that said I have lost almost all faith in trucking companies and list myself as an EX trucker...
