I know I will be starting CDL training right after July 4th. Does anyone have some advice on which schhols/companies to start with??? I am waiting to hear back from HR Career Development and the grant I applied for... Also, all WIA funds are dried up now and I would need a company sponsored program. What about MCT (Midwest Coast) ? They seem legit - any drivers on here work for them? CR England has accepted my app, but after reading some of the blogs here - they are a last resort!!!
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! I live in Toledo, OH.
Thanks for taking the time to help a brother in need!

If your funds are short and you need a company sponsored thing try Schneider, they cover hotel cost, pay for your cdl, training, and two meals a day.

They seem like a good company to work for... do you know where they have their training in Ohio? Could I work for them if I live in Toledo?
-
I don't know if they train in OH or not, if they don't they will ship you wherever they are training if you are approved for their school and put you up in a hotel.

Im from Akron Ohio and they're sending me to Green Bay WI for training.

You can also check into Millis Transfer .... they are out of Black River Falls, WI but they have a school in Ohio
The last time that I checked into you had to pay around $100 and they covered the rest along with room and food .... not sure what they all cover now
Their school is in Trenton, OH and is a state qualified school .... so you could probably go somewhere else if you wanted .... but if you stay on with them for a year they cover the cost of the training

Greenbay? then you must be going with SNI... Good school to attend, not a bad company to work for.. They will make you run legal or your out the door.. Should stay with them at least a year.. Not a bad choice to start your career with them in my opinion..

It would be worthwhile for a driver domiciled in Toledo to learn more about Air-Ride Inc.
