I'm considering working with Butler out of Kansas City on regional runs. I just got laid off from a oil company due to lack of work. So my recruiter told me I could be home every other or every third day for my 10hrs off. Is this true or not? How long did it take to get the 160hrs of training needed? How is the drive test after training is it hard?

Driving is easy. ...as far as home time, dispatch can tell you that. ...but I've been treated like family here and only been with them 2 months

I've only had a class a for 3 months I'm a little concerned about tight spots and backing. I'm 40 yrs old trying a new career path. But will be hard with 4 teenage kids at home that's why home time is a big thing.

Still here with Butler, making good money, seeing alot of the country. Just got out of Utah and Wyoming and then all hell broke loose on 80. Took my load from Utah to Wisconsin, Indiana, and Illinois. That was almost an 1800 mile loaded trip by itself. You have to manage your 70 hr week we'll for the amount of miles I've been running. But I've been running on recaps for almost a month and a half. I will keep posting here. I actually applied to Butler because I couldn't find hardly any bad reviews for them....so far it's great.
