jenziedk.... i constantly drive 60 with no issues. never been pulled over. i've had a few chp come next to me and keep pace till i finally slowed to 55. have most fly rite by me. as long as you're not doing something else illegal, they leave you alone for the most part.

That plant used to be my "come back from home time" load.

    I moved.

Any place that has you looking forward to the relatively small hills of I-68 is a place I try to stay away from. :)

Finished my load from MO to NJ. What can I say good about NJ...uh, nothing!! At a T/A on 295 with a few other Swifties, none of which have loads. Not good.

Been hitting mac30 since yesterday. Two kept popping up..both ultra heavy going to Atlanta 8am Monday inside the Loop..but rush to pick up right now!! Four days to run a day and a half. No thanks. They eventually disappeared. Then popped up a decent load to IL...but has to pick up tonight 3hrs after my 14 runs out. Mac9'd it and it was removed. Now nothing.

Im not diggin' the Garden State or the horrible pothole filled roads.

At the Gilbert Truck Center getting yet another POS 54XXXX series trailer worked on. This time a cam lock on the doors failed to move while I was opening the doors on this t-called trailer. I had to convince it with my sledge hammer and crow bar that it wanted to be open.

You know, I understand that waiting to get something fixed is a drag and can take a huge chunk of your 14 at times, but to drop it and not report it is just wrong. There is simply no way that the driver who left this thing in Decatur didn't know that something was wrong with it. The lock bar itself was rusted and the cam lock has twisted off...

Well, the mech finished the repair in mid paragraph. We are now at the Eagle One Travel Center in Eatonton, GA right down the street from our live load in the morning. Typical end of day here, trailer's fixed but the restaurant at this truck stop is just a vacant room. I wonder if Pizza Hut will deliver to a truck. Lol

Hurricane, UT at the small Chevron truck stop (parking for half a dozen trucks), less than a mile from my drop and hook that can't be delivered before 00:01 tomorrow. Had a very interesting drive from Flagstaff this morning:

Ran north on US-89 to Utah, but Qualcomm nav had a hissy fit wanting me to get off on BIA-20 (Bureau of Indian Affairs) for some reason (likely to save 1/2 a mile but that didn't compute as staying on US-89 was shorter by 5 miles). Kept asking for a reroute but eventually it returned that I was on a restricted route.

"Gee, restricted huh? RM book doesn't show any restrictions and all this big rigs on US-89 can't be breaking the law, and besides which BIA-20 doesn't even show on the RM".

I kept going until Page, NM when the Qualcomm finally figured it out.

Beautiful drive that eventually goes back south into Arizona to catch AZ-389 west to get back up into Utah. The 8% grades coming down into Hurricane were special.

That part of US-89 was closed for almost two years for landslide repairs and only reopened last week. I think BIA-20 was the detour route around the closed area.

That makes sense. There were some recently repaired sections along the cliffs. Gorgeous drive. Looks like I'll be retracing my steps with a load from Cedar City back down to Albuquerque tomorrow.

G'day friends from our "permanent" house in FloriDuh, where the hair is sometimes more blue than the ocean, we still can't count and you can walk faster than most drive. Didn't expect to head down here this home time but here we sit. Heading to the beach again today.

Just found out we'll be moving end of this month as wife will accept a new job offer. Anyone moved while Swift employed? I assume just turn in truck to present home terminal. Get moved and get reassigned truck at new home terminal?? Houston will be closest new home terminal. Can I choose Lancaster instead?? All feedback appreciated.
