In October 2014 I had load with animal food on palettes. It smelled like fish. After removing the pallets It was wet where were the pallets.......and than the problem began. I had few loads rejected. Started to putting coffee before to go for pu. I used more coffee than Starbucks.I washed the trailer and gave the guy extra cash to put more soup or whatever they use. During the winter time I didn't have any problem. I assume the cold helped. Last week 85 in FL and my nightmare is back. So I'm looking for psychologist. Whatever. ...do you know any product or method I can use to remove the fishy small? I have wood floor. Thanks in advance.

get you some vanilla extract and spread it over the area that should take care of the smell and works allot better than coffee

also you can try using fabreeze on it and see if it will work also, as they show in the commercials about people being in cars with garbage in them and the people that are blindfolded don't know...

those would be my best 2 tips for ya.....

Another thing is charcoal....it absorbs all odors but to be honest i normally used coffee...would buy the cheap stuff at sams and spread it on the floor and sweep it around...always worked...

try Odoban. I used to haul out of Degussa-Goldschmidt where they produce the dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorate. the active ingredient. it can actually destroy odors, not just mask but it doesn't work on everything. I would try a quart in 5 gallons water, scrub with broom and let it air out. with a fan to help if possible. they sell gallons at some dollar stores.

Yep coffee grounds works great.I use to pick up peanuts every couple weeks and before that I would pick some product up that made the trailer smell horrible so I would use coffee grounds let it set for an hr sweep it out then leave the trailer doors open all night and pick up the peanuts the next day.

Back when I pulled reefer we had a trailer that stank even after a few good washouts.. so what I did was bought a big bottle jug of white vinegar added it to a bucket of water.. and washed the floor with it.. then I put several boxes of baking soda in it... that worked.. the smell was finally gone...

That's correct! We haul Containers and we have to load empty cans of Coca Cola that goes to the Caribbean and that container cannot have any smell as that taste can get inside the empty cans of soda's that are filled over there and that's what it's used, Coffee and leave the doors open all night.
