Yea Keith up at Ft. Recovery can be pretty intimidating but Keith is a heck of a guy, most of up there at the fort are good folks..... Altho some of em seem at least to me as a southerner to have no personality or just a dry personality I soon saw that that is just their way they are wonderful folks..... I mean ft recovery isn't a exactly a fun fun place ya know

I am an overnight shuttle driver from Orlando, so I don't have to deal with the everyday drama that is the Duncan terminal, but when I do have to deal with them its a circus. Per the fleet message Eric is no longer running the show, Chris up in the Fort told me that a lot of people were pretty unhappy with the way he was running it, he used to be a terminal manager at a UPS or Fed Ex terminal and he brought the bs politics with him there. I can agree that whenever I speak to the folks in Ohio its a night and day difference from the ones in SC. Best way to describe it is there is little communication in Duncan.

For example, I call every night at 730 to see more or less what time my load is ready (Lord forbid they ever call me to tell me pfffft). I am told load is ready at 8 PM, at 8:30 I'm on the road. I get to Richmond Hill T/A and sit for 2 1/2 hours in a day cab because no one ever told me that the load would not be ready until 11. Thats happened several times. Another one is my relay driver calls out...and they tell me 30 min before I am getting to my truck that the load is canceled because they have no driver, great so myself and the daytime driver lose a day of work because they couldn't coordinate to have another driver cover.

I can go on but I'm not sweating it that much, I am far better off being here then being at some other company, especially living in Florida. Yes, sometimes its just trucking, other times its someone dropping the ball, this is just a rant and to show that no place is perfect.

Hilarious that you mention that, me and my relay driver have laughed talking about how akward and cold they were. When I was up there for orientation I would say hi to them and they would just keep walking and working the fax machine lol whatever, I was not used to that, but still they were great people up there. Maybe it was the frigid temperatures lol.

I enjoyed working at Cheeseman. The people in Western Ohio are a bit strange. The manure smell in that area is enough to knock you out. I got tired of being in Fort Recovery on Friday's without enough hours to get home. The nickel and dime stops coming into the Fort were a major pain. If we had roll up doors it wouldn't be so bad. Ed, Chris, Sarah are all very nice people. It did seem Chris might be getting stretched a little thin. Even Bob the recruiter was a good man - not your typical recruiter.

Yea I'm currently running out of the Duncan terminal. And while they got rid of Eric which was great. We are still loosing drivers, Tom the new terminal manager is a good guy, and very helpful.. But dispatch is still messed up they need to get it together down here we have a saftey woman who doesn't know whats going on, if you have a question she has to call up to the fort and ask every single time.... And yea Matt, Eds son he does lie that's for sure, not gonna go into detail but the customers are fed up with his lies also. He does have a snotty attitude... Like I say I'm just about fed up with it also, some drivers still get the special treatment Florida every week we all know who they are its just never gonna change down here.... Pay goes up a penny and they act like its a major deal. This company is loosing its touch.... I've decided to move on soon so take it for what it's worth this driver isn't lying...they have done many of us this way down here.

    jdiesel3406 Thanks this.

I have heard the new terminal manager is a great person to work with, and that its a total 180 compared to what it was when Eric was terminal manager.... I have since found a job that is comparable to Cheeseman I'm happy... But I would like to say that Cheeseman for the most part treated me very fair and with the up most respect....
They need drivers so if ya looking for good folks to work for Cheeseman LLC check them out ya won't be disappointed

Eric was a douche. He worked for UPS and brought his UPS politics with him. he never threatened me but from what I understood, longtime loyal Fort Recovery drivers would happen to stray down to Duncan/Spartanburg/Greer and he'd be threatening to send them home on a bus. that didn't last too long.

only complaint about GSP terminal is that I can't get the Texas LTL run I used to enjoy when I went down there. run along the gulf coast and make tons of money. now they just send me back where I came from.
