Explain to me why Hugh Rowland went to one instead of getting a new international.

Why the foock would he buy one when he had 3 of his truck sitting up there? Oh yeah let me go buy a new binder to run 2 loads while i got 3 of my trucks sitting here :biggrin_2556:

BTW it was a FLD. How is the truck tough? You really need to stay quiet from now on kid, again you have NO CLUE what you are saying.

Well, my mom drove one for 13 years and owned one with a 56in flat top. The FLD and Classic are alike except one can not buy an FLD with side fairings. I think the last year you could buy one was in 03.

    Hugh owned 4 trucks from last year: 3 FLD's (48in, 70, 70in) and one Intl 9400 72in sleeper.

king how many times are you gonna get learnin bumps here before you learn???

'shakers are used by anyone for the same reason....they are cheap, throw away trucks....they hit 1 millon and they are junk, not worth the repair price

come to think of it, there are alot of trucks that meat that qualification...some are even made by paccar....check out resale prices of simialar spec'd trucks ( you wont find a w9 or 379 in that list BTW)

as for the fact yer mom drove one, im proud of her for being able to stand livein in a rattletrap....i have driven a few myself, and if i have a choice (and i do) i will not again

hugh uses them becuase if it drops thru the ice, the insurance will more than pay what its worth (seriously, look at his trucks)

Exactly bronc hit the nail on the head, there is nothing tough about them, i drove a brand new century class a few years ago around the block and i got hit in the head with a plastic cabinet door from the sleeper, thats not tough.

Im not saying my W900 is gods gift to truck drivers, but at least its built right, it doesent rattle inside and is one solid piece of machinery!
