If someone tells you they never had to stop and start all over again with a set of sticks, you found yourself a liar there

I never have, but then again, I've never driven a truck with a set of sticks either.

It used to be possible with the old 13's to get both boxes in neutral, with only one stick! :biggrin_25524: There was a reason you were only supposed to split in gear with them.

My RTOO 14613 was that way. Would sing like a ol 2 speed axle couldn't get it back in gear without the the clutch brake then hitting the throttle to get it to catch again. I sure miss it some days not lol

    Hammer166 Thanks this.

Funny you use 'sing.' Because the OD in the aux on them old 13's sure could sing. Got to where you could tell how fast you were going from the gear whine warble. :biggrin_2559: I think the gear whine was louder than the direct drive fan and the roof a/c on high.

Yeah, coastin, cussin, crunching, sighin, braking, pull over and start again. Made these new series 13 + 18's seem almost like automatics.

    Hammer166 Thanks this.
