Should be back out there on the road by now. Got back from FL last night. Headed to truck to read qc messages. Truck wouldn't start. Thought I needed a clutch switch. After "on road" I'm here at a Ryder shop in Charlotte. It wasn't the clutch switch. I'm still close enough to home if they need to tow to Greer I'll just suffer the wait at home. (G ) After 4 home days they must be eager to move my unit cut they been sending pplans. None are very good but I assume they want to move me from home.
Happy Easter all.

Picking up kitty litter there also scale there is accurate........ In the middle of BFE Montana ie Havre, MT going to be interesting where they send me from here my guess worland or colony or there is a drop yard in billings so who knowsOceanDan Thanks this.

There three talc mines, the Shelby drop yard where our Canadian fleet t calls southbound loads, plus all the paper headed east from Lewiston. It's pretty easy to get a 2k miler out of mt. Especially since you're pretty close to the great falls/Shelby area.OceanDan Thanks this.

It's a place called American Colloid West.
Is that the kitty litter place?
I'm very happy with this load.
A good long load that delivers in the pay period. It will give me nearly 2900 miles for the week, during a holiday weekend and including a 34.
And the delivery is a drop at a Walmart DC, so I can time it as I wish.
I couldn't ask for better. -

Cool.
It's good to know that they have an accurate scale there.
Thanks. -
Not my experience with Montana AT ALL!
MT in Shelby, had to DH to Usk, WA to pick up a paper load. MT in Great Falls, DH to Lewiston. Both times over 400 miles.OceanDan Thanks this. -
As a company driver I don't mind long mt runs to get to a shipper.
It's on their dime, not mine. -
Sorry you had that happen. If you are a l/o or O/O anyways. I live in Montana and am there every 8-12 weeks minimum. I used to live in great falls, and then moved back west where I spent the majority of my time in MT. even when not on hometime I try to snag talc loads from three forks to plaquamine parish la or Laredo. I used to do those loads bi-weekly. I'd run from MT to tx, then a load from the border to Lancaster, then a 34 and a load to Kansas or CO and I'd work my way back to Montana for a 34 and start all over. I loved it, but then decided I needed some time east of the Mississippi.
I guess I'm lucky, but I've never had a problem getting a high mileage load out of there. Right now I'm on a 1700 miler I picked up off a t-call in missoula headed east.
Decatur is where I have problems. That place plans me with garbage all the time. 50 mile loads that don't deliver for two days was the last time I went there. -
I grin with happiness at these 25% to 50%+ deadheading miles. I was turning down almost everything with 8-10% dh on my last contract. Trying to find a knack of going where freight being there is less important than the empty miles to the next pickup. I will smile all 12 or 13 miles per gallon to get there.
