I'm with you Mystic, I'm hoping for more info.
is there a discounted fuel price? Umm why are they pushing the Lone star so hard? I understand that they have a few other trucks, but which ones? Someone stated earlier that they have 389s. Or did they actually mean 579s? Can you still get a W-9 if you're going to be on Refer or dry van.
Thanks for the info so far.

I believe you can make money at eagle if you can do it yourself.Revenue is what you can find I think things should improve as they get better organized. 367 out of my check for trl and maint escrow plus all deductions. So add your truck payment and insurance and plates onto this and that is your weekly fixed cost. that is fixed on a van if you have a reefer add 140

New Trucks include: Kenworth t680s and w9s, International Lonestars, and Pete 589s. For some reason the w9's do not come with an APU. The others come with APU. Last year Celadon bought 1500 new trucks. The Prostars were to replenish their company truck fleet. The t680s were for the expedited fleet division. And the lonestars were for the lease purchase programs. This would explain why they're pushing these so hard. If you're doing reefer or dry van you can pick any of these trucks. Flatbedders I'm not too sure about, but some of the guys on this thread are running on Eagle flatbed division, they can chime in.

Their used trucks are a crazy mix and they have them in several lots all over. Difficult to get inventory list since it changes daily.

I am in the eagle flat division and so far has been a joke. monday will be 21 days and I have pulled 6 loads for a total of 4320 miles and total revenue to me is $4271. MY dm booked a load that turned out to be oversize and it took her a day to get a permit and would not pay any more as she said she made a mistake and did not want to burn a bridge with the broker and then it took 6 hrs. to get loaded. load went from houston to tulsa and $1125 to me. Took 2 days. a joke. sat all day till 3 for a load. got a tarped load that needed v boards( was not told) to topeka with 3 drops at 567 miles and $885 to me. I was not going to take the load, but she said I had a guarenteed load on friday to mass. Got empty and no load. Finally got her at home and said it loads on sat. still no load. then said I should DH out of there. I have asked 3 times for the list of brokers we are hooked up with and still no list. $2.00 freight and no miles does not work for these payments. Then took truck payment out of my second payment and have been trying to get it back was told we will look into it. Not my first rodeo, been out here 14 yrs.trying to make some sense of the whole operation. DH to louisville ky yesterday. Ton of freight here. Calling mercer in the am.

Don't you have to be with Eagle for 3 months before you can take your truck elsewhere?

Yes after 90 days you can take your truck to another carrier as long as it is on the approved list from Quality. I can tell you mercer, jones motor, great wide and old dominion container division is on the list. I have the full list if you need it.

    stormy379 Thanks this.

cnote don't depend on your DM to make your money for you! you have access to at least 30 different brokerage, landstar is on the list as well as some other heavy hitters! send me your email address and I will send you the current list. we have have to look out for one another, I have your back if you want to succeed, but don't complain when you aren't making any money, you are a business owner and the ball is in your court, so its all up to you if you fail or succeed! You are given the tools for succeed, failure isn't a option!

Stormy the reason why they are pushing the lonestars are that they have a surplus and need to get rid of them for their new shipments of trucks. Their is no discounted fuel price. Read my other responses and post and you will see what trucks are available as of now! They have used 389's and 579's at the Raymond street location. The W9's are for flatbed only as of now unless they quality changes their mind next week!

    Loke and stormy379 Thank this.
