My trucking uniform is shorts, tshirt, sunglasses and sandals. Wore a suit and tie at the bank I worked at for many years. I'm taking full advantage of the trucker casual dress code.
KAK, Blackshack46, HalpinUout and 2 others Thank this. -
Most of my jobs have required me to be clean shaven or a groomed goatee. I now wear a tshirt, jeans, ballcap, sunglasses, and have grown my first beard ever. What a great job!Blackshack46 and TruckDuo Thank this.

I wouldn't get offended at all I love to teach people about the history behind things I'm passionate about. Some people(no offense to anybody) are ignorant about other cultures. And there is no reason not to ask why. I had one guy I saw a few times at the bar I use to go with my kilt that made rude comments and point and laugh. You know I went up to him and started talking about the kilt and it's history and it's freedome and after he started paying attention to the interactions I had 😉 he went and got himself one. It's not for everybody, I understand that. He went from making fun of what he didn't know about to embracing the power and respect he got for it. I thank y'all for this.
Don't judge, or disrespect what you don't know about in all aspects of life. Yes this America and pants is the "norm" but being America it's not the only choice. I personal am not going to be wearing a paisley or flowery dress! But a solid manly color kilt. Thank youpattyj and MZdanowicz Thank this. -
Me to I was a paramedic of 16 years. No more shaving if I don't want to. The hard switch for me and most expensive was my clothes. I had none to speak of. All I wore was uniforms when I was home I was a vol. firefighter so there was another uniform.

I have been to the Tartan Festival. In Franklin, NC before. I think as traditional scottish attire it is great. I love history, and learning about other cultures. I just dont think its practical for american truckers. As for being proud of your heritage, its a good thing.
Now, let us unite the clans! FREEDOM! -

I'm one of those don't give a f*** what others think. Wear the kilt. I wear mine when and where I please. Most men who have never tried it don't like it because their women drool over a man in kilt. Just saying. Life is way to short to worry about what others think. See you all down the road...... in kilt.

I would if Averitt adopted it into the uniforms. Wait can I make them since I am Scottish?
Gary Vortex Thanks this. -
Hahaha .. absolutely. I've seen plenty that don't have any room to be criticizing.. cover that nasty stuff up before judging. Unless it's just impractical, I wear the kilt.
