I got my guage from a magazine that a mechanic told me about from a company I drove for.He was working on my trk and I was bored so I looked at all his fancy tools and tool box and seen his tire guage.I ordered the same one from this magazine and by the time all said and done it cost $150.00.

Hasn't hurt my car tires.I use it every time I take my car because theres a slow leak on the back tire.Right now its flat but nothing my air tank wont fix.You should check out Peterbilt or Freightliner. You spent roughly 400.00 for all your gauges they keep breaking, is it worth it?Buy one expensive durable one and be done with it.Its the only guage I have so its not for sell sorry.

No I know it won't hurt car tires heck most don't even check car tires much less use a 150.00 buck gauge on them. I think I'm going with the snap on brand one for 105.00. Thanks all!

I buy Milton S986 which looks like the picture that is posted. I also buy the smaller s929 gauges to keep with my tools. It is like a car tire gage.
See the gauges are only as good as the company, I have old mitons from the 50's and 60s that are still good and use them often but I had to buy a bunch for the trucks when some driver's would "lose" them.
The trick is to see how "off" the gage is, many of them no matter what are off by as much as 30 psi (I am not kidding about that) and the miltons seem to be the closest to being accurate as you can get. I built my own comparison rig, it is easy to do other than the cost of the gauge, the one I have on it is a 4" gauge that was about $75 and it was certified at the time for accuracy. -
I don't want to spend that kind of money because tools have a nasty habit of walking away from my truck when parked at the yard.

I have one of the Snap on gauges.....It is probably at least 30 years old and still accurate as any one out there..
I use it all the time and put a few drops of tool oil in it every so often.
They don't make tools like they used to if you buy the auto parts store junk.devildriver66 Thanks this. -
I got a nice one from Napa. I was in the store for something else and there was a box of them on the counter so I bought one. That was three years ago and have been using it everyday since. I don't remember what I paid for it but I wouldn't have spent more than $20 on it.

The Snap On would have a lifetime guarantee. I'd go with that if your using it daily. I have crossfires on the truck and cat eyes tire equalizers on the trailer and a cheap gauge for the steers I picked up when I started playing truck driver.
