I drove for Werner and the 3 yrs with them I always got home when I requested it but you have to give them more then a weeks notice.But the pay ya that's very low.One if not thee lowest paid company in the industry.

So what is this Pegasus you speak of?

 

They are the usual starter company. Crap runs,crap pay, like I said just a starter company for new drivers. After my first 6 months to the day, I jumped ship to a temp driver company and that is when pay went up as did the career opportunities. Also gave me a taste for what in the industry I wanted to haul. Anyone who stays with them long term has to have either a really good gig with them or is a mental patient.

You know.. werner does not push their lease program.. all they do is once a month send a message over the qualcomm about it....
As for Pegasus... that is for drivers with poor poor credit.. and little or nothing to put down.. but want to become an owner operator... which although we here at TTR dont agree on a lot things... the majority here advise against attempting to be an O/O when your credit is bad... which really is just basic common sense

As for home time... I have had great home time with werner... but as already stated.. you have to put in for hour hometime a couple weeks in advance.. and talk and work with your fleet manager...

I am sorry that things did not go as you had hoped... but, if you just go on thinking and blaming werner you wont learn from your experience and will continue to make the same mistakes...

I have been with werner for 16 months now... and have never ever been pressured to do a lease purchase.. they barley mention they lease purchase programs. .. Eagle if you have fair to good credit and Pegasus if hou have poor credit...

 

Werner has a lot of drivers who have been with them for many many years... I personally have met a driver who has been with them for 31 years, another who has been with werner for 27.. also met Charles Endorf. . A 5 million miler who had a truck stop named after him.. I have met numerous drivers with 5 or more years... a couple weekends ago Got to go Air boating with a driver who has been with werner for 7 years.. has a nice house nd lot of fun toy.. Air boat, 4 wheelers and a really cool Big Dawg chooper he got tnrough Werner..

So while it is true werner is a starter company for new drivers.. there are also many drivers who do well at werner..
