Yes, maybe they would rather forget the past, if any of them were even there back then. Many ex-cons driving and had a strong work ethic and laid back. Several of us would run convoy from Tennessee to California and put the slowest truck in front; fun times back then.

From the inside of mine to the outside of their unit 10517. The driver was NERVOUS as I backed in. Guess I'm pretty intimidating!

Now I fully understand why this company has the reputation has and attracts the low quality drivers it does. We will accept the entire load planned and we will put the fuel solution in the tanks, even if the truck is over-gross. Getting overweight tickets is just a cost of doing business.

    Oh well...

Keep at it until you can run elsewhere. Keep clean and you'll be able to move on. Figure a year and then start applying.

And on the way to New Hampshire under a load, the trainer gets a call from his DM. 'You have been selected for an immediate random drug test. I'll QC the address.'

    More waiting. Yay.

Here is what happened to me at WE. It is representative of what I saw happen to other drivers. Remember all that shiny new equipment in the yard in Nashville? Yea, that's not for you. You'll be sent to pick up something abandoned. The first truck they put me in. .. 5 year old volvo. No brakes. No engine brake. Bad clutch. And it looked like someone locked chimps in it and delivered pizza to them daily. I finally diverted to the terminal in VA and turned it in to the safety officer. Next recovery was a fairly new Cascadia. It had been driven over a retaining wall and patched together by a international dealer. It was also trashed by monkeys but at least these monkeys crapped in a trash bag. I put plenty of miles on that truck and one time I took home a little over 600 for the week. I really hope they do right by you. I'm certain they won't. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck with it. If you can gut it out there are decent jobs.

My immediate problem is that I'm running a "team" truck with my "trainer." I was supposed to be on my own more than a week ago, but here I am, in the bunk, while he drives. I am very aware what this company is and fully expect to experience all the bad; I already have seen some of it. Right now, I just want to get out of this truck and away from this guy.

Sitting in a dirt - well, frozen muddy - parking lot in southern New Hampshire, not far from my ancestral home. I haven't been here in 45+ years and wish I had some time. Alas, I don't since we deliver at 0600 and we are having a winter storm tonight, complete with freezing rain. Winter hasn't given up here just yet. It's cold but not cold enough, apparently, to idle. Trainer will not like that and will somehow blame me.

But the good news is Trainer's DM is routing us to Memphis to get me back to the yard to test out! Finally, I will get out of this truck and decompress; this guy makes me a nervous wreck.

    Hope springs eternal.

Sorry to hear your "trainer" is such a Richard. Hang in there. You will be on your own soon enough.

    Kroozn20 and MJ1657 Thank this.
