I have a dog named Buddy. My nephew named his dog Buddy Jr after mine, but we call him L B for Little Buddy. :)

I watched it during the original run, 5 years back or so. I liked it then, your post reminded me of it, so I watched it again. Good miniseries, follow on to "Band of Brothers". Also good.

Some other shows I like to binge watch (I posted this first in a forum for foreigners who teacher in Japan):

    Some others I would recommenced:
    - "Breaking Bad" (it is on everyones list already but I had to include it)
    - The spin off to "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul" is VERY good
    - The seasons of "The West Wing" when Aaron Sorkin was most involved. Skip the last season when he was fully gone.
    - I liked the first season of "Deadwood", something about that show turned and it just lost me after that.
    - "True Detectives" is good, it has flaws but still worthwhile for sure.
    - Everyone rates "The Wire" high but I thought the 2nd season stunk. The other seasons are indeed awesome.
    - On a lighter note, the comedy "Eastbound & Down". You're welcome #######!
    - Sports: "Hard Knocks", follows an NFL team training camp but you don't need to love American football to enjoy the show. Less about football than about the people in the system, the drama and competition that it took for them to get there and stay.

I download everything using warez, as taught to me by my Japanese students. I pay a subscription fee of $3.20 to $5.00 per month to make it work.

Getting ready to get back in the saddle. Time to go online shopping again! (Yes Cranky, pics will be included):

    --------------------------------------------------------

New 32GB Micro SD SDHC High Capacity Memory Card - e-bay, $4.98 , free shipping:

$5 bucks for a 32 gb memory card! WTF, they were like $40 not long ago. Seems too cheap but e-bay reviews are good. I'll give it a try so I can load more podcasts onto my phone, plug it into the truck sound system. I'll get a 2nd one for a dash cam if it really works.

    --------------------------------------------------------
Headband Type Magnifying Glasses - e-bay, $9.88 - free shipping:

I ware reading glasses and I have a couple of different kinds of magnifying glasses. Always can use something better, I'll give this a try. I'm old.

    --------------------------------------------------------

Black & Decker 6-Cup Rice Cooker with Steamer Basket. Walmart, $13.88 - store pick-up:

I learned how to use a rice cooker while teaching in Asia. Had to go online and ask what it was first. Did not help that all of the button labels were written in Korean.
Cooks rice in the bottom part, can steam like in the pic on the top part. Will buy frozen shrimp and mixed veg from Walmart, excited to give it a try in the truck!

Panhandle flash and HometimeQueen Thank this.

I've been home since Sunday and am having a good time. Don't leave out til Monday morning. Hubby bought me a nice little Ruger today while buying himself a new toy and tomorrow we are both getting our concealed carry permits. Friday we are going to the concert in Tallahassee. I've been staying busy overall. The kids have been just great! I am both ready to get back on the road yet don't want to leave. I just don't know what to do with being home this long!

Doing well. He and Number Two Daughter went fishing today. They didn't have any luck but just enjoyed the day. It took almost a week before he finally slept through the night and didn't wake up driving! It has been nice having him home.....even if I have to share my coffee! :biggrin_2559:

In St. George, Ut. for the night. First time heading home with my wife waiting for me. Should be home for the weekend. Had a little meltdown yesterday. I guess the stress of everything was starting to get to me. Stop being a baby the moment I woke up this morning. Will never move long distance again unless I am single.
